He should be.

I'd kick the tires here. Byrd is a really good player, so I'd be interested in finding out 1) if he can be traded given the franchise tag issues, 2) if he can be traded, what the compensation would be.

What's the max pick you would give up for him?

Fox Sports Boldish Predictions

Here are a few of the best ones...

Quote:
New York Jets – Newly acquired QB Brady Quinn will rack up more wins than Geno Smith and Mark Sanchez. And by more wins we say he’ll have, like, two total wins. OK, maybe just one.

Quote:
Washington Redskins – The media will finally start paying attention to Redskins QB Robert Griffin III and he’ll become a household name in no time.

Quote:
Seattle Seahawks – The Seahawks will bring back the infamous replacement ref to raise the 12th Man Flag before a home game against the Packers. Since they don’t face each other in the regular season we’ll have to wait for a playoff game in Seattle for this epic moment to happen. (Falls to knees, prays for this to happen.)

Jairus Byrd would make this secondary even better and give us somewhat that big play/game changing ability in our secondary

If we traded for Byrd, we wouldn't be able to sign him to a new contract until the offseason. He has to play the year out on the franchise tag at this point. I wouldn't want to give up much for him considering he may walk at the end of the year.

In regards to Byrd, he wants money!! Money we don't have! We have up get Dez, Bailey, Carter under long term in the next year or two before we take on another guy that is looking for a big payday.

Can't have a NY Strip at every spot.

Leave it to Peter King and Mike Florio to get a Tebow update in pregame show.

The safety position has been a problem spot for WAY too long.
