I loved Leon, plus with McKnight gone we do need a return guy, so I am for it.

He would fit the bill as a return man, third down back. He's somebody the Jets should consider as a fill in until Goodson returns.

Guy should have taken the $ when it was offered. He was a true gamebreaker and Tanny seems to have not been given credit for this pick they got in the Herm deal I think.

Would be interesting to see who would he replace. Green or Goodson. I like the idea of having a vet like that back on this roster, but I also like what we have.

A step slower or not he would be a great pick up. I hope it happens.

It would be nice for nostalgia reasons, but at this point we have to decide whether it's worth it to sign a vet like him or just hold onto Green, who is cheaper albeit less accomplished. Regardless, once Goodson is able to practice and play in games, we probably won't have room for Washington or Green.

Why not? The RB position is a mess anyway. I don't trust Chris Ivory to stay healthy anyway. We have enough slow plodding RBs. What's one more?

No dice

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
To bring their roster to 53 players, Patriots re-signed RB/KR Leon Washington, per NFL source.
