Agree to disagree about Kuechly, i believe Mosley is more athletically gifted. They are both really good though Im not really arguing with you on that.

The reason he isnt viewed as the top LB is because everyone runs a 3-4 these days and values pass rushers. In any case, Mosley is good and would fit perfectly.

Mosley is not your typical thumper in the way that Jo Lonn was, but he can definitely hit a hole hard. In fact, the way he hits some holes is absolutely incredible. He looks like a running back sometimes, he'll see it open and just attack it. He'll never be thought of a great run stuffer because he's not the hardest hitter and because he's so great in coverage, but he can do it about as well as anyone else.

Btw Jim Thomas just tweeted that Fisher said nothing else happened to lead to his release, and that there's a possibility that they could bring him back after the suspension.

Could be good news..

Coach Jeff Fisher wouldn't rule out the Rams re-signing WLB Jo-Lonn Dunbar.
"We havenít said this is it as far as his future is concerned here," said Fisher. "Of course there's a good possibility. Anything is possible." The Rams cut Dunbar on Tuesday. He's suspended for the first four games of the season after violating the league's policy on PEDs. It's possible the Rams cut Dunbar because they were right up against the salary cap and needed to get in compliance. Dunbar was a key cog in the Rams' run defense last season.

This would align more with my initial suspicions about this move. What could Ray Ray or WW have done to make this front office think that they didn't need Dunbar?

I think they realized that this was an opportune time to save a ton of money on someone who is only playing 3/4 of a season at maximum, and won't see the field on every defensive down. (We will be playing 5 DBs often.)

I just hope that he doesn't end up getting signed by the Niners, Seahawks, or Cardinals.

Phew... good thing we got Ogletree.

On the bright side, at least the defense rarely has 3 LB's on the field. Dunbar certainly wasn't going to be in the nickel.
