Well, the top 20 scoring leaders last year were kickers and 31 of the top 32.

Only 2 playoff teams attempted fewer FG's than us last season. Seattle attempted 4 less FG's than us, Washington attempted 1 less. So whether we score TD's or not, we still need a somewhat reliable kicker.

I like to see the punting to kicking FG ratio. IMO playoff teams might kick a lot of FGs because they will most likely be in field goal range, where bad teams will still get field goals but only cause their offense couldnt move the ball and have to settle for FGs or punting

I just don't value kickers as much as some round here, sorry but I'm not sorry. We have had one if the best kickers in history in this team since 99 and what has it got us...... Nothing, yes reliable kickers are needed but cundiff is going to make more than he is gonna miss. The key is getting him into higher percentage kicking situations which a better offense can do. The fact that remains is this season is going to weigh more on the defense gets stops and the offense puts up points, than our kicking game

What if he isn't bad though..... He had a great year for the ravens the year he missed that kick, yes people are going to focus on that kick but there were other contributing factors that list that game for them. When he was with us the first time filling in for Phil on short notice was 6/6 for us. It isn't a preconceived fate he is going to be awful. They obviously worked the 2 guys out and felt cundiff was the better of the 2, what can ya do

Goes without saying.

NBT says we're a 10 win team easy.

I dunno, take away the game the kicker costs us, the game the punter costs us, and the one game the fullback costs us and I see 7 wins.

If you look at all of the 10 win teams throughout history, they all had elite kickers, punters, fullbacks, veteran backup RBs, and All-Pro #2 CBs.

I think there were 13 of each last season.

But seriously, if the offense can convert 3rd downs, score in the redzone--and the defense can get to the QB and play decent against the run--it won't matter much if he misses a few FGs.

Oh and I'm not going anywhere near THAT thread LOL

Of course, I'll reconsider if we come out and start blowing teams away to start the season.

Top 5 offense? Isn't that trolling? Laughing

Looks like Pinkston to IR (can return after week 9) to make room for Cundiff

We still need a kicker.

Thanks Joe Flacco.

Is anyone named the Drill available, oh yea.

Still trying to grasp that one.

Really, We pick this up 6 days before, we keep how many OL, and Pinkston must be really hurt.

I'll miss Dawson and we might regret, you see it's not how many times we go from losing to winning with a final kick at the buzzzer , it's about how many times during 60 minutes we got 3.

Yea OK, Hasslem want's to go all in butt kick, but just like I said to who will go too high in the draft and to who, I said, J.J. Watt to us. I will be watching how our kicking does at the end of the game but more so during the game.

Just Sayin' Ditch.

Wait....you're telling us that we'll have close games with elite teams?!?

How exactly does that work? Does this mean that we might find ourselves in games against teams like Green Bay, New England and Baltimore?

Just curious.

Its going to be a great game against a team no one picked you to beat. Everyone is going to be going all out, and hes going to absolutely break your heart. Thats how these situations play out.
