Guess Carpenter is trying to compete the AFC East tour.

There was speculation that the Browns will sign Carpenter [they currently have no kickers on their roster] since they set up a work out with both him and former Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff, guess Cundiff got the Browns job now.

The Bills released Rian Lindell in favor of rookie 6th round pick Dustin Hopkins but looks like they lost trust in him, and Lindell signed with the Buccaneers.

Kinda wished he wouldn't go to an AFC East rival... but oh well. So much for Dusty Hopkins, I guess?

LOL Great job making assumptions guys. I guess it is true what they say when you assume.

Carpenter is a nice addition for having an injury to a Kicker.

This is terrible! It's less then a week until the opening game. Carpenter won't even have time to learn the playbook!

But seriously, this is one injury that doesn't have me too upset. I don't think Carpenter will lose too many games temping for a kicker who has a lot of potential, but is still a rookie.

Still hope Hopkins recovers quickly though.

It's just that "losing trust in him" didn't make any sense since he had a great camp and preseason. Plus there were no reports of Hopkins being released and Carpenter would be the 53rd man on the roster. Hopkins having some sort of injury is the only thing that makes sense, and that's what it ended up being.

With no report of an injury at that point and the fact they signed a former Pro-Bowl kicker out of the blue it did seem that the Bills were having second thoughts about starting the season with a rookie kicker, so it did make absolute sense... once a report of an injury did come, i posted it, again it was speculation and i stated it as "looks like", not a big deal really.
