Former Pats P Zoltan Mesko, cut the other day, will be signing with the Steelers today.

Mesko was released by the Patriots because he was entering the final year of his contract [which meant $1.46 million in salary and an extension in the off-season] but also because he ranked 27th in the league in net yards last season and was beaten out by rookie Ryan Allen who is a back to back Ray Guy award winner.

He's a good punter...with a great name. Sad to see him go. Sad

If there was any team I didn't want Mesko to go to it's the Steelers. I love Mesko, but hate the Steelers. I'm in a dilemma.

You'll love him though Steeler fans, he's a great guy and a great player to boot.

He's a great guy, very active in the community but unfortunately he's been average at best in terms of punter production (net yards, punts inside 20)

Hooray I can root for Zoltan again! Laughing

Loved him at Michigan and as has been said he's a great guy who's always active in the community.

Great pick up, a real class guy who behind the scenes does more for the community than 99% of pro athletes . the steelers just got better today

Not him, around the same time. Maybe when he was injured. Don't think he made the team, preseason leg. Meh...
