This game should definitely bring some lulz from the Raiders side.

Damn. Sounds like a steal to me. I would have been happy with him in Seattle for far more than that.

Depends on his asking price and what offers he gets elsewhere. If the money is close, I bet he stays. But if someone will throw ridiculous money at him, he will go.

Considering he's arguably the second most disruptive player in the NFL and defensive ends make 60+ million easy, this is a really good deal for the Bengals. Geno's an all around force and is just impossible to contain in the middle.

He's a 26 year old athletic freak that has improved every year and just recorded his first double digit sack season. If he has another double digit sack season, Some team is going to throw a ton of money at him come free agency.

He's not a great pass rusher despite his numbers. He's solid defending the run inside. Still needs to work on not crashing the middle for end arounds. For $6-$7 mil a year, he's a solid DE. Problem is he's looking for $11 mil a year. If someone pays that, they definitely overpaid because he's not that good...

Good deal for both sides.

Not sure if he can get that much on the open market. I think he passed on the multi year offer figuring he could get the $11 mill this year on the franchise tag then come back next year to the deal he passed on. I think MJ93, Atkins and Dunlap all realize that they make each other so much better playing together. Hopefully he returns. if not, Margus Hunt is not a bad fallback option.

Excellent contract for the Bengals. He is receiving the same 5 years, $55 million that Calais Campbell is receiving from the Cardinals, and Atkins is clearly a better player than Campbell.

As a Jets fan, I am very happy with this contract. It likely lowers the future asking price of Muhammad Wilkerson.

Eh, lets calm down with that. They're both very good players. I wouldn't say Atkins is clearly better.

Campbell is obviously one of the best at his position, but I really don't see an argument for him being better than Atkins. I consider Atkins to be the best interior defensive lineman in the league not named J.J. Watt.

Everyone who has a brain thinks that.

This gives me some hope with the impending Greg Hardy deal.

I think it's a smart deal for Geno. He's only 25 years old so he could potentially land another mega-deal in 4-5 years when this deal is up...
