They should have put Coop on the regular roster. Now they will be forced to resign a veteran CB and still draft two next season.

Drafting a CB next year in the first two rounds is definitely a priority. My dream of Cully and Cooper holding down the fort is gone Crying or Very sad .

Yeah, CB and WR were already 1A and 1B needs without Cooper being claimed. This is just an unfortunate byproduct of being a really good team.

Was Cooper really that impressive? Or are we just infatuated with a corner with size?

I like Morris better. I know he's small, but I like him anyway.

I'm not sure about Cooper as well. I didn't much that made me think we missed out, aside from his mixture of size and speed.

I thought Cooper did really well while he played - nothing extraordinary, but really well (enough to be one of the fringe players that may or may not make the 53...and seeing as he got claimed to another team's 53-man, that seems about right).

Still - I agree with you. I like Morris better as well.

Cooper is a raw prospect but word was he was improving drastically towards the end of camp. During his limited action, he played well and hardly allowed anything. Of course his size and athleticism is the most intriguing part about him, but he could have been one of those hidden gems. Cooper had more potential than Morris because of the size/athleticism I mentioned. Oh well, I trust the front office to get us a good corner in the draft next year.

I have a feeling we'll get a chance to pick up Cooper again. I doubt the Chiefs plan to have him active for any games. If they start to get hit with injuries, he could be one of the first guys they try to sneak on to their practice squad. If we really want him again, we will get him.

Agree with what's been said; I actually preferred Morris, though I didn't think Cooper played poorly, just thought that Morris outplayed him. We got the two people I wanted most on the practice squad (Jacobs and Morris) so that's all that matters.

Wanted those two and Purcell (well, and Cooper until he was claimed).

Not sure how anyone can say Morris outplayed Cooper. For one, Cooper got 3X the snaps Morris got, and allowed only 9 yards in 43 coverage snaps. Not that Morris was bad who allowed 10 yards in 14 coverage snaps. Obviously Morris had too little of a sample size. Still, can't agree with him outplaying Cooper.

Yeah. I think I read more vood things about morris than cooper. Hard to argue with cooper's size, but also hard to argue with morris' 4.3 speed.

Hmm...are we sure about that? Maybe I got the two of them turned around?

FWIW, I believe that the chiefs have also signed fomer 49er Chad Hall. Makes sense since he played for Reid in Phillly.
