I'm being optimistic, but our run game is pretty atrocious. Maybe when Goodson gets back, he'll provide a spark, but Ivory and Powell both looked slow and sluggish. I like Ivory's drive and I know TB's run D is dominant, but I feel like we need some speed to mix things up a bit (again, may be better when Goodson gets back).
Our running game is down right awful. And I do not expect it to get any better.
It looked like our offensive line just sucked. Our backs didn't get a chance to prove themselves.

I agree, our run blocking has been horrible. I remember this being a issue at the beginning of last season, but it improved down the line. Hopefully the same thing will happen. I want to see Green get a few carries while he is here.

Why don't we have a player of the game poll up?

Not for nothing, but isn't Tampa a really good run defense team?

We'll probably look better as the year goes on. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

They had the best run defense in the NFL last year.

I'm sure it's been mentioned ad nauseam, but Damon Harrison looked ridiculously impressive today. He looks like an animal out there.

I always disregarded him as another member of Steiny's posse, but he actually looks like he might be a damn good player.

He and the rest of the defensive line were incredible. We sacked Freeman three times and held one of the best RBs in the league to 65 yards on 24 carries (2.7 YPC). Wilkerson, Richardson, Harrison, and Ellis all were standouts.

I also thought Demario Davis and David Harris were great today. Harris had some big plays and Davis was arguably the player of the game today.

Richardson was an animal. He looked scary good for his first NFL start.

I love how good our front 7 is. They completely dominated the game. I can't believe how young they are too.

Wilkerson - 23
Harrison - 24
Ellis - 25
Richardson - 22
Coples - 23
Davis - 24

Harris - 29
Barnes - 28
Pace - 32

What I saw:
Offense:
-Kellen will most likely be Geno's favorite target and for good reason
-Stephen Hill can actually catch the ball
-Bohanon looked good out of the backfield

Defense
-Sheldon and Snacks were all over backfield
-Constant pressure by Barnes
-Not so impressed with Milliner, but he's a rook and will improve
-Landry and Allen made some nice plays

the best thing is they compliment each other

it reminds me of San Francisco's front 7 but with more push from the D-Line

Someone else do it, I've been away all weekend and had to listen to the first half.

My vote is for Harrison most likely.

The Bucs are an elite run defense if last year is anything to go by and looked much the same today. We never stood a chance running the ball today. Perhaps it's something we'll build on better as the season goes on, but the days of having a top five running game are long gone.

The defensive line seriously looks quality, and without Coples too. There's something really to be excited about there. The defense, as usual, kept the team in the game on their own.

I'm exhausted, I'll try and talk more about the game later. But it feels so great just to see football again and better yet to win in one of those crazy moments only football can produce.

I'm not sure if we played better than I expected, or if the Bucs just played worse. They certainly looked like a pretty crappy team out there today for the most part.

An unexpected win is even better than an expected one though, so it's all good.
