As expected the Chargers are making a lot of depth moves off waiver wire and trade.

I wonder if the trade happened because he was hurt, or if he got hurt because of the trade?

I believe he suffered a concussion recently. He was traded because he didn't fit the cowboys new defensive scheme. He is still young and talented. Very good depth. Can play DE and spot NT in the 3-4. He just signed a contract friendly extension last season as well. Chargers fans should end up loving the trade.

Outside of the 1st half of the Houston game, all of our front 3 players on defense have been lackluster, no one's getting any decent push (there's been an increased allowance for hands to the face by offensive linemen against interior DL this season, I've noticed, but you can't hang it all on that), and what not helping is we're getting minimal edge-rushing production so teams are just able to commit more resources to blocking our 3 downed-linemen.

He got his first tackle of the season yesterday though.
