With a open spot now, wonder who gets signed. Wouldn't mind seeing a flyer taken on Drake Nevis or Marvin Austin.

I think they feel ok with Bass in there. Look for Velasco from Tennesee.

waiver wire awards should be announced in the next 2 hours or so, along with Practice Squad members.

I forgot Lissemore signed a new deal last year.

As I tweeted OCC back, more concerned about what he costs next year... if the $1.2m in dead money goes on this year, looks like he saves us a cool million next... that's good. Not sure if I'm reading it right, though.

hearing Kyle Bosworth.

Local boy. Another ST'er. SOLB but not very good at that (Giants fan-- "he was cut from the GIANTS at LB").

I don't need Austin or Nevis or Fua per se. But I don't understand this team going into the season with Ben Bass as their most proven (and only?) backup DT.

edit: especially since I'm still not sold on Nick Hayden

Jaguars waived DT Kyle Love.
The Jaguars led the league with seven players claimed off waivers, so they're very much still in roster construction mode. Love is a former starter with the Patriots. The 26-year-old should continue to get looks around the NFL.
Maybe this guy?

Marvin Austin seems like he could be worth a shot. He could be a 3 tech depth for us. I would like to see us add him and D.Watkins or B.Ijalana

@calexmendez: Garrett acknowledges 4-3 didn't fit Lissemore. Said chargers had been calling about him for a couple of weeks.

Currently Bass and Cohen as backups, Hayden starting. When Rat returns, figure they lose a Dlineman somewhere... Maybe Cohen, maybe Bass, Maybe Wilber?

Then we should've tried to get more for him. My concern isn't that we traded him because it was apparent that he didn't fit the new scheme, but Jerry lying to everyone in April by saying that the d-line was an area of depth and strength when we knew that it was thin and is now basically empty.

Not a bad trade I guess, but he was one of my favorites. I'll miss him for sure.

Gotta do something valuable with the extra roster space we just created by moving Rosario.
