Both Dimanche and Rey can play SAM, they'll pick up a coverage LB and put Baby Hawk on the IR-Recall list.

Howard is a big question mark because of his health. There is no telling that he will be ready but I like his coverage ability.

They should of signed Thomas Howard to began with it. There was nothing wrong with this guy. He was a beast in 2011. And then he blows out his knee and that was enough to worry them into not signing them. I'm surprised nobody even signed him this offseason. If they sign him, that would be great. Obviously he wont be starting, but that's just fine.

I would have to think no one signed him because of health concerns more than anything. He was great in 11 but a bad knee can linger

In other news......

Shaun Prater has been picked up by the Eagles, Clinton McDonald has been cut by the Seahawks........

I don't see any SLB's I like on the waiver wire........

Any other thoughts on whether Taylor Mays could play SLB ?

I could see JK being back on the roster after we put Hawkins on the IR-recall list. We definitely need a LB.

Howard if signed will probably be after week 1...

Should see some Orlovsky vs Manziel this week in the battle of "who's less aware of their surroundings"

Orlovsky has too much experience here. Manziel doesn't stand a chance.

Howard would be great if he is healthy, but as you can see, that is a big if

After watching hard knocks again last night there is no doubt in my mind that mays is an knucklehead and would be a liability learning a new position. I would rather go with Williams.

Durability hasn't been an issue for him in the past at all though. This was his first true injury. 2010 and 2012 was his only seasons he didnt play all 16 games. But in 2010 he only missed 4 games. He gets hurt one time and now everyone is too scared to sign him. He probably wont sign yet, but now the bengals can bring him back pretty cheap at least.
