@RapSheet: Remember #Bills C Eric Wood extension Friday? I'm told it's a 4-year extension worth $25.4M with a $9M signing bonus. Also due $2.3M in 2013

About what I expect Mack to get 6-7 million a year. Won't hurt our cap much because his cap hit is around 5 million this year.

Crumpets are the least of the worries when in it comes to English food... Confused

I think Mack is the best center in the NFL & there is no way I would pay him $10mill+. You could tag him 2 straight seasons & hold him to under $6mill.

meh....

I have serious concerns for the beloved Browns to remain in Cleveland. As fans we are the toughest on the team because how much we love them.

DP and I are doing a GM Mock in that forum and we re-signed Mack to a 6 year deal for 42 Mil. So 7 per year.

Course we also traded for RGIII so I'm taking the realism with a grain of salt...

Mack probably wants 90% of the contract before 29.
This would mean that haslam and banner would have to shell out 54 in actual cash verbotten for banner.
If you tag him what happens if haden asks for 35 millon guarenteed then you could wind up losing mack.
Will know what is up with macks contract by draft day if they draft a center.

I

I um

I'm confused

Mack is going to get paid. It's probably gonna be in the 7 Mil per year ballpark. If it's 6 years that is 42 Mil, I'm guessing around 20-25 guaranteed.

I guess I don't think it matters how they structure the guarantees.

Haden won't be a problem in getting guaranteed money too.

We are still WAY under the cap and Banner is supposed to be good at that.

The point is mack probably wants 35 million cash over the first 4 years of the contract .
Then if the browns let him go he gets another 35 million from another team.

banner will probably propose 6 million per year with his peak earning years being when he is 29, 30,31

I just doubt that Banner is not going to get this done because of when the money is wanted.

Probably the best place to put this: http://www.theguardian.com/sport/interactive/2013/nfl-salaries-positions-2013-2014#cleveland-browns,cleveland-browns

Every year the guardian puts together this webapp that breaksdown how teams pay different positional groups, its a great way to visualize how the money is split up team by team.

You have to keep in kind that banner is one of the better if not the best Cap guys in the league. Mingo was in pads today, There's a slight chance he could play this week depending what the doc says but I say he is back next week and decapitates joe flacco
