We already have a Banks thread, so here's the thread where we can discuss the other cuts:

Quote:
The Falcons have waived: Banks, Goins, Huynh, T Johnson, Mitchell, Regis, Savoie, Schiller, Shelley, Thompson, Wingo.

Quote:
In addition, the Falcons have placed QB Sean Renfree and TE Andrew Szczerba on injured reserve.

Nothing terribly shocking.

Quote:
FB Patrick DiMarco, LB Robert James, WR Darius Johnson, CB Jordan Mabin, G Phillipkeith Manley, G/C Jacques McClendon, WR Martel Moore, DT Adam Replogle, and WR James Rodgers.

Saturday's addition

Mitchell and Schiller are a little surprising to me. I'm interested to see if both rookie safeties make the team now. Looks like Worrilow and Bartu will both make the team with Schiller and Banks gone. D-Block will not be the same without Schiller.

Worrilow and Bartu sealed Schiller's fate. There wasn't much reason for keeping him anymore.

Bartu seems like a fun guy on Twitter, so maybe he'll liven up D-block. Or they can just move DeCoud to linebacker. Very Happy Very Happy

I'm more upset at Mitchell being cut. D-Block won't be the same without Mike Peterson.

Bartu is pretty much a lock to make the team, and Worrilow should too hopefully. They both will probably be wearing the glasses like Schiller did and won't be allowed to speak cuz they're rookies Laughing

I'm curious, does Renfree and Szcserba being placed on IR count down toward 53?

If not, then we are down to 64 currently. If so we're at 62.

I'm gonna assume it does.

I expect the next nine to be cut:

-RB Antone Smith, WR Martel Moore, WR James Rodgers, WR Kevin Cone, FB Patrick DiMarco, CB Jordan Mabin, DT Adam Replogle, S Shann Schillinger, G Jacques McClendon

I really hope James is cut. Not big on him. Bartu is way better...

With only six LB's on the roster, I think they'll both make it.

Antones special teams defense might be a deciding factor, hooe rodgers makes it over Johnson

Robert James is solid on special teams. He'll stay.

I really wish Mike P could come on as an assistant coach or something. He was an amazing guy to have in the locker room. I'd assume Spoon will host D-block now.

So James is gone...

So now we're at 53. I'm curious if we keep 5 RBs and 5 linebackers. Or if we do something on the offensive line.
