Good. I hope Byrd takes note. You come to camp and work your butt off, you are rewarded with a new contract.

AWESOME news. I was a little worried about not having him signed next offseason.

Time to get Jairus Byrd locked up, come on Eugene freaking Parker.

Terrific News!

Line looks solid for a while. Wood, Urbik and Brown all got new deals this off-seaosn. Glenn still on rookie contract. Continuity is key. Love it.

Is that not what Byrd did before he was tagged? Byrd should have been signed this time last year.

Well its not really time to get Jairus Byrd locked up since we are not allowed to lock Jairus Byrd up at this time.

To be fair that was a whole new GM and coaching staff...

Regardless Byrd has come to camp and worked his butt off for years and was not rewarded with a new contract (not a long term one anyway). I guess I just don't see your point that Byrd should take note. He has did everything right but a long term deal was unable to be reached.

He still hasn't come to prove he deserves to be the highest paid safety like he wants. He wants that then he should of came to camp to prove he is the best safety in the league. Holding out of camp does not make you the best. He has to put even more effort and work to prove that. Our offer was more than fair. He is the one that thinks he should be paid higher than he is worth. If he wants that much money then he should of attended camp.

Something that would put him in the top-5 of safety's in terms of salary. Which is what he's worth.
