What do you see as the 3 biggest weaknesses or needs for this years team?

Tough call

I think an outside linebacker would be one. With Dunbar out I don't trust Witherspoon TOO much. Like him though. I do like Armstrong there so hopefully he becomes a great pick up.

I still don't feel comfortable with Our offensive line.. With Saffold always being hurt. Also at guard, I feel iffy on that as well

And last, runningback. I love Richardson and I still believe in Pead. But for some reason I feel like its not good enough. Maybe because they're too young. I don't know. I guess we'll see though

I could see us looking 2-4 for a solid development/back up quarterback.

Just this year: LG, RB, and OLB until Dunbar is back.

Going forward: S unless TJ and McLeod/Stewart show some playmaking ability, LG, RT, 3-tech, RB

Im assuming you are asking this question for mock draft purposes, but to base needs around whats going on in the preseason is a very dangerous practice. Especially the way people completely overreact to things happening in situation that we dont even really know what the coaches are trying to find out.

But a few things do stick out to me:

Our O-line depth is bleak at this point. I actually kind of like Shelly Smith and Joe Barksdale as in game fill in types, but I'd be very concerned if they had to be relied on for an extended period of time and we game planned against. I think Barrett Jones is a guy for the future, at either Guard or Center, But both Saffold and Dahl will likely be gone for next season, and I wouldnt count on Williams as a long term solution either. I think getting a Top Flight O-lineman or 2 in the next draft should be top priority.

I thought Dunbar would be on his way out before the suspension, but now I would all but guarantee it. While Spoon could be a decent fill in for a few games, I think it is going to be important to have a very good LB corps going forward in todays NFL.

And right now our CB play is clearly covering up a problem in the secondary. I like McLeod, but he is a backup. And I think in this defensive scheme, McDonald could be a nice piece at SS, but we are going to be desperate for a true FS by the end of this year

O-line in general will need to be addressed. Saffold and Dahl will be gone, LG is still a question mark, and Wells will be 34 with a tempting cap number.

Hopefull Barrett Jones takes one of those spots. I would prefer Shelley Smith, Joe Barksdale, and Chris Williams to remain as depth- we're in trouble if they start.

As much as I would like to see us add another two playmakers with our last draft from the Redskins deal like DeAnthony Thomas & Ha-ha Clinton Dix or Lache Seastrunk & Loucheiz Purifoy, I think we see a draft like the 49ers in 2010. They locked up their LG and RT spots, which was far from intimidating at the time.. but now they have the best o-line in football. I just don't know if going O-line early is Jeff Fisher's style.

RB : I just don't think Richardson can hold up. He was getting beat up by the end of the game. Pead can't seem to be counted on

OG: I just think they need to get better here and it would improve the entire offense

FS: McCloud wasn't much of a factor

I am assuming they keep Saffold
