This thread is a prime example of how bad it can get on FF at times. Arguing just to argue. "Take all the time he needs" has started a backlash? It's something you say in the situation. You take care of your affairs and get back to work. Adults know how to handle themselves. What exactly is the huge argument?

You go on an anonymous board and people say things they normally wouldnt cause no one can really judge. I thinks it just sill that people are complaining that Spiller has a lot of moeny so he can take more time off. If you dont like how much time you get off, go make more money.

This "important job" basically equates to playing pitch and catch with friends on TV. It's a game. Have a heart. He should take as long as he wants.

I should bite my tongue here. But no he should not take all the time he needs. He should be back at practice by Monday or Tuesday(and Im sure he will.)

Condolences to him and his family.

Curious as to why you believe this? Not that I agree or disagree, just wanted to know.

Because I don't think anyone gets two weeks off for the death of a grandparent. This is an important job where a lot of people depend on you. You should get a week to pay your respects, grieve, be with your loved ones. The world can't completely come to a stop for you though. At some point you need to deal with your grief while still meeting your responsibilities.

This is far from just the death of a grandparent dude.... Get the whole story. Some people...

5 pages for this which is pretty much non football news. Everyone deals with death in their own way at their own time... no need to argue over it.
