Agreed. He is the backup and 3rd down back. This is still BJGE job

Why has everyone given up on Moch?

So far he's played in 7 preseason games and has 5.5 sacks in them. I know it's preseason but he's looked good rushing the passer. I think we're going to make the same mistake that we did with Ahmad Brooks whose beasting in San Francisco right now.

No reason to give up on him already especially if the Migraines are under control...

Agree 'V', his speed is there, but its that old nugget again, who gets cut to make way ?

Even if we go 9 x DL, 7 x LB, he's much more of a rush LB than an 'elephant' 4-3 end, so does it come down to Moch v Dimanche @ SAM behind Harrison ?

@275 lbs, Harrison seems big and perhaps too slow to play 3 down SAM ? Maybe they do go with 7 LB's?

If Moch can put a solid season in, he could be more than useful.......

First series in Chicago, BJGE starts. They'll slowly phase Gio into the mix, once the Bears stuff BJGE for 2 YPC......

This is almost exactly what I see happening. I could see Moch making it over either Mays or Rey (regardless of position since Mays and Moch both play special teams). I could see Prater making it over Mays, especially if the team thinks Jones might get nixed over the nightclub thing mid season.

Anyone else wanna go take a chance on Da'Rick Rogers? Marv needs to put that kid under his wing ala Burfict.

Green
Jones
Sanu
Hawkins
Tate
Hamilton
Rogers?

Maybe there isn't enough room...

I dont really see a point to keeping 6 DE's on the roster, so IMO Moch is gone unless he moves back to LB. Vincent Rey offers help as a backup ILB right now and I think the team needs to keep at least 6 LB's. and with the team only having 8 of them right now, guys like Schaffer and Taylor will be the odd man out

I think 5 CB's are enough. I though 6 before, but only because of McCalebb being on special teams. I got 5 S's instead of 4 because Miles is only on the team for special team purposes. That leaves only 4 true S's on the team IMO

I can dream I guess. Im sure one team will steal a couple of these players off the squad to put on there roster, thats for sure.

There has to be a good reason why the Bills cut him; and the Bills need WR's.......

Too much 'attitude' up in Buffalo I suspect....... after 10 years of Chad, I'm done with diva WR's who think they're bigger than the club, I'll stick with the guys we have thanks......

Dontay Moch is on the trade block. Not a big deal, but a shame. I thought he was always best suited as a 3-4 outside rusher. I think a pass rush/talent needy team that runs a 3-4 could take a chance.

I've seen a combine event calculation on this site that has a pretty strong correlation to a player being an effective 3-4 OLB. It combines cone-drill, long jump etc. and processes a players likelihood to succeed. I remember Moch being the highest that class.

I doubt we get anything for him really. Maybe a very late rounder

I still say we keep him. The man knows how to get to the QB, I can definitely think of at least one DE we should cut/trade before him... Laughing
