There's no way Brandon Tate doesn't make the team now. I'd add Tate and remove Pollak since Robinson can play G

Completely forgot about Tate for some reason. But yeah, you're right. Took out Fragel for Tate. Put Fragel on the practice squad until next season.

Also dropped Whalen for Dennis Roland. Forgot about Roland as well. No way Paul Alexander lets his BFF get cut...

Vincent Rey or Jason DiManche or JK Shaffer
Orson Charles or John Connor
Ryan Whalen or Cobi Hamilton or Alex Smith
Taylor Mays or Shaun Prater
Tanner Hawkinson or Reid Fragel or Mike Pollack

Those are the tough decisions the team is going to have to make...

Agreed. At this point, as much as we like Charles, I am not sure I see him making the team. I see Dane Sanzenbacher possibly making it over Whalen.

The reason I think they keep Charles over Connor is because they have Pressley waiting on PUP. So if Charles struggles, he'll be replaced after week 6 by Pressley (Or they recall Connor sooner than that if he's still available). I think they give him a shot...

Also, we agree going to see a ton of one back sets, and Charles versatility works more in that scheme.

I do not disagree. Just based on snaps and their comments on Hard Knocks (I know take it for what it is worth) I just dont know. I sure hope we keep him.

One of the most interesting questions for me are the 'skill' offensive positions.

If we are going more double TE sets, Charles has to be a keeper, maybe with 4 x TE's ? (Gresham/Charles/Eifert/Smith). Has Charles played well enough to play full-time FB. Connor has played well, but is a full-time FB spot becoming marginalised ? If we are going more 2 x TE, do we only carry 5 x WR's. Who do we keep out of Herron/Burkhead/Peerman ? If Whitworth is still unfit, do we carry an extra OL?

All difficult calls.

WR=5: AJ Green/ M.Jones/ M.Sanu/ B.Tate/ D.Sanzenbacher/ [cuts=C.Hamilton/ R.Whalen/ T.Rogers/ R.Rountree. (A.Hawkins to IRR)]
OC=2: K.Cook/ T.Robinson/ [cut=TJ,Johnson]
OG=3: C.Boiling/ K.Zietler/ T.Hawkinson (C/G/T)/ [cuts=M.Pollak/ J.Sullen]
OT=4: A.Whitworth/ A.Smith/ A.Collins/ D.Roland [cut=R.Fragel]

PUP= Z.Robinson/ C.Pressley/ B.Scott/
Practice Squad=8 [T.Dye/ R.Fragel/ TJ.Johnson/ S.Prater/ R.Rountree/ JK.Schaffer/ T.Stephens/ B.Taylor/]

I suspect in reality, Peerman, Pollak, Mays and maybe Conner make the 53. McCalebbs' pure speed doesn't come along too often, and we ought to get him on board somehow as a KR to challenge Tate.

We'll see how it shakes down next week.

Why has everyone given up on Moch?

So far he's played in 7 preseason games and has 5.5 sacks in them. I know it's preseason but he's looked good rushing the passer. I think we're going to make the same mistake that we did with Ahmad Brooks whose beasting in San Francisco right now.

No reason to give up on him already especially if the Migraines are under control...
