Very disappointed that Randle got cut so early. I feel really bad for him, he's a great person and Vikings fan.

Hope he gets in the practice squad.

The Vikings have released the following players:

http://www.vikings.com/news/article-1/Vikings-Release-13-Players/d315ee82-0cb3-4067-b77c-a8951f08f2a7

I've reflected these changes on my team roster that can be found here

Jerodis Williams, RB (#43)
Colin Anderson, TE (#45)
Erik Highsmith, WR (#8 )
Tyler Holmes, OG (#66)
Camden Wentz, OC (#64)
Chase Baker, DT (#62)
Marquis Jackson, DE (#64)
Spencer Nealy, DE (#60)
Stanford Keglar, LB (#47)
Tyrone McKenzie, LB (#58 )
Roderick Williams, CB (#25)
Greg McCoy, CB (#30)
Darius Eubanks, SF (#49)

Hit on 7, missed on 6. Meh.

Why did we not give Colin Anderson the boot, he brings nothing? We all predicted he would be cut.

I also didn't think we would cut Lawrence Jackson, I had him on the final 53

Backup long snapper at the moment, might not want to play Cullen Loeffler in the last game.

Any Christian Ballard updates? Is he gone for good/going to get cut?

I think they end up keeping only 3 DEs. A 4th DE would see very few, if any, snaps if the top 3 guys stay healthy.

No way you can roll with only 3 DE's. What would happen if one goes down? Especially with Griffin playing so much you need another guy in there as backup in case someone goes down.

Teams keep 8-9 OL at all times even though the 3-4 backups will almost never play.

considering Floyd is coming off surgery and Williams might miss the opener I don't think they can afford to cut Ballard.

But where he at??? It's concerning to say the least. Hope everything is okay with him because a position of "strength" just got exposed IMO. One or two injuries and we would be one of the worst and shallowest teams in the league on the interior DL.

unless they see enough in Dawkins, McCloud or Baker to move away from Ballard. Ballard may not even be available week 1 anyway, id rather save the roster spot for a DT who is actually with the team.

I hope Rodney Smith and Bradley Randle make the practice squad.

I'm kind of upset Lawrence Jackson didn't make it. Hopefully Reed can continue to get better.

They only kept 3 DEs active on gameday when everyone was healthy last year. Unless they believe there is some untapped potential in Reed (or anyone else at DE), why use a roster spot on a veteran that won't play when a street FA can do the same job?

Christian Ballard can probably play DT/DE.
