The Tennessee Titans will move wide receiver Kevin Walter to the regular season PUP list in order to have him count as one of the move to get to 75 players before Tuesday’s deadline.

Walter, in his 11th NFL season, has been on training camp physically unable to perform list since the start camp opened on July 24 due to having disc surgery on his back.

By transferring him to the regular-season PUP list, the Titans not only create a roster space as they cut to 75 players, it also puts Walters on the shelf for at least six weeks while he continues his rehab.

After six weeks, the Titans will have a three-week window to allow Walters to return to practice and then decide if they want to activate him onto the 53-man roster or put him on injured reserve for the season.

In other moves the Titans have released 11 players this morning. Those include veteran tackle Barry Richardson and safety Tracy Wilson.

Richardson has played for both the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Rams, and Wilson spent some time on the Titans active roster in 2012 after being promoted from the practice squad.

Also released were kicker Maikon Bonani, receivers Justin Hilton, Roberto Wallace and Diondre Borel, cornerback George Baker, linebacker Kadarron Anderson, center Eloy Atkinson and tight ends Martell Webb and DeMarco Cosby.

I'm fine with having a thread for camp cuts, we can just use this over the next week or so as we drop down to 53. They're big enough news to warrant their own thread.

It'd be great if we can keep all the cuts here so I don't have to go through page after page. Just a convenience for me!

Sucks we couldn't see what Martin actually could do but he just couldn't stay healthy.

Good for Battle obviously, and maybe even Doyle (unless they try to get him to the PS).

Taking a guess at the next 18:

PUP: Mariani [Reynaud safe for now, gives Mariani time to get healthy and get a shot to replace Reynaud if he's not performing]

Cut:

QB - Rusty Smith (not sure if PS eligible)
FB - Collin Mooney, Quinn Johnson
WR - Rashad Ross (PS), Dontel Watkins (just confirmed)
OT - Daniel Baldridge (PS), Byron Stingily
OG - Casey Studdard, Chris Spencer
DE - Keyunta Dawson
DT - Stefan Charles (PS), Zach Clayton (just confirmed)
LB - Scott Solomon, Patrick Bailey
CB - Khalid Wooten (PS)
S - Al Afalava, Corey Lynch

Wishful thinking that we start over at FB or just use Stevens more in that role, but I'm rooting for Doyle at TE so that makes me a bit biased. Never liked when we didn't use FB's for Eddie, but not a big fan of the FB's we have around right now.

So far, pretty predictable. Those last few spots are going to be interesting.
