So much for "minor knee surgery" for E.J. Manuel.

Makes sense to me. Raises big red flag about Manuel's knee. Peace.

The thread title is misleading.

Manuel hasn't been ruled out yet for week 1.

People need to learn to read all the stuff that is coming out and not just one line.

The plan is to move forward as if Tuel is the starter....why? Because Manuel isn't practising until after pre-season. And obviously Tuel is better/more up to speed with the offence compared to the new guys.

This title is very misleading. Manuel will start week one but they can't practice that way yet, so they are doing so with Tuel. Plain and Simple.

What do you mean so much for minor knee surgery? Manuel could still play if he is healthy. You don't plan to start a player who has yet to be cleared. All this means if EJ is not ready to go then Tuel would be the starter over Thad and Matt.

I'm sort of excited by this, I really like Tuel, could be interesting if he does start.

You can't really help but laugh if he does end up starting. I'd rather have Tuel start than Leinart that much is certain.

Well it's the first week of EJ's (hopefully for you guys) pro career. I wouldn't want to throw in him there if his knee isn't ready and he didn't practice. Don't want to set a guy up for a failure.

Hell, it isn't even the knee that's the problem.

The 6-8 week time frame is the recovery of the wound made from the incision. NOT from getting his knee scoped.

His knee is fine, this is just precautionary as EVERYBODY has said and yet ESPN is acting like Marrone saying "He's the starter if the game were right now" is him saying "He's the starter".

It's just untrue.

I'm hoping that Doug is playing some sort of "Patriot" game with New England here. If EJ is healthy/ready by week 1, he's going to be the guy. They haven't ruled it out, and as of this point, they're just "planning" on Tuel being the guy. We'll see how it pans out, but I'm hoping for the best here. Today was not a good day for the Buffalo Bills lol.
