Now that the team is starting to take shape, how many wins do you think we will get?

I have to say, I see no way we don't start 1-4, with our schedule.

REGULAR SEASON

AT 49ers
Redskins
AT Bengals
BYE
Lions
AT Ravens
Browns
AT Vikings
Bears
Eagles
AT Giants
Vikings
AT Lions
Falcons
AT Cowboys
Steelers
AT Bears

What really? 1-4? That's just silly. I don't think any of those 5 teams are clearly better than the Packers. I can't see them finishing any worse than 3-2 over the first 5.

I see something between 12-4 and 14-2 this year

I see sure losses vs SF and Baltimore, probable loss vs Cincy, toss up vs Washington, win vs Det.

I am with you. I agree it's a difficult schedule, but I can't see us going 1-4. The D has looked much improved, minus a few runs, and pass blocking seems to be better. We are not worse than 4 of those teams. I mean if you believe that we are an 8-8 team at best, which is way to low IMO. I think we are a 12-4 team.

I think the remainder of the schedule is much easier:

Browns
AT Vikings
Bears
Eagles
AT Giants
Vikings
AT Lions
Falcons
AT Cowboys
Steelers
AT Bears

Bolded are the only sure-fire tough games, IMO. Vikings/Bears are a stretch.

And that's just redikulous. The talent level between all of those "sure losses" is close enough that it's anything but certain. I think SF and Baltimore are both toss up games because they are both teams on the Packers level and the deciding factor will be who comes out the sharpest. I'm not a believer at all in the Bengals, I think they are an OK team who has ended up as a wild card by default, largely because the AFC West and East have been so bad. Washington I think is going to slide back a little this year and don't see them as anything more than an 8 or 9 win team.

Baltimore and San Francisco have just as many question marks and issues as the Packers. Writing them off as "sure losses" is just trying to be a Negative Nancy doomsayer.

1-4! WHAT KIND OF PACKER FAN ARE YOU? Laughing

49ers will be hard to deal with AGAIN. But I think we finally "compete" with their asses.

Honestly if we keep Colin in the pocket we'll be golden. Even though he's a better pocket passer than some of the running quarterbacks, I think containing him is our best bet.

We can beat the Redskins... Come on. Are they really that good? Is RGIII gonna be the same as last year after that injury? He's no Adrian Peterson. I still think he's gonna be dynamic. But he's gonna think twice before he runs.
Their Defense is pretty good, but they're not as good as the 49ers. Our run D will be better this year, so we can hold their run game down a tad.

Bengals might be tough because of their defense, but I think their offense is pretty overrated. I'm not sold on Andy Dalton as a QB.

We'll at least go 3-1 through the first 4 games. I still think this team is better than last year.

Who knows maybe our loss comes against the Lions Wink

Baltimore is great at home, and both Bmore and Cincy have VERY good defenses.

Any time we have played a good team the last few years, we have played like crap. NYGx2, SFx2, Colts, Seahawks, NOx2

I can never do these, because when I look at individual matchups I think we win every single one of them. But I'm almost positive that there'll be a couple games that boggle my mind and we end up losing. So I'll just guess 13-3.

I've got the same prediction as Kal-El. If 12-3 going into the final week has us locked into a seed, I'll say we lose to the Bears. Otherwise, we win.

Unfortunately every team has a loss against a team they have no business losing too (KC in 2011 e.g. or Indy in 2012) so I'm gonna say we'll win either 10 or 11 games this year.
