I could have swore I saw a report saying Rogers was with the 1's at camp. What happened?

Would have been a false report. He was working solely with the 3's and didn't get into games until at least the 3rd (where he didn't even dominate).

Guess he just couldn't loose the attitude and work for a job. You get the opportunity of a life time and you just go through the motions. Hope he learned something and catch on with an NFC team. Peace.

Hate that we cut Rogers and kept Smith. Smith has ready proven himself to be nothing more than average, while Rogers has the potential to be great.

Marrone said every player had to earn his spot. Rodgers didn't put out the effort to earn a spot. If he had kept him, he risked the chance of loosing his veterans and his credibility. Smith can not only play WR and special teams but be an emergency QB if needed. He still might not make the last cut. Peace.

Yea I think this release was premature.. I wouldn't be surprised if Rogers still turns into a quality WR

Don't forget, they were using Smith as an emergency QB just in practice. He's one of only two "QBs" who actually know the system and is healthy to get through the next few practices.

There was no way he was going out in the first round of cuts.

i dislike Brad Smith as much as anyone but Da'Rick flat out sucks right now. dude couldn't do jack in the 4th quarter in the preseason against guys that are gonna be working as security guards at strip clubs. at least Brad can get on the field and do something of value.

I'm a big believer in the production part of it right now rather than what we're going to get down the road. All the players that were released have the ability to play, but we as an organization feel that we just have better players right now.
