let's try again... in terms of football ability, he would be a significant upgrade at the safety position over anybody we have.

Honestly, I vote no on Rhodes. I understand our S play is below average, but we have a young core that we're trying to build with. The guys currently on the roster should get the chance to do what they can. We're in a rebuilding year, and getting a potential, but not guaranteed, stop gap player like Rhodes doesn't help much in the long run.

I'm OK with our safeties for now. It's CB where we need help. If another corner gets hurt this Sunday, we're going to need FEMA to drop some emergency aid at the Novacare complex.

Ya honestly as bad as our safeties are, the redskins and cowboys safeties are probably worse. Our CB's are really thin, we need to sign someone there I believe.

Unfortunately for us the CB market, much like our CB depth, is very thing right now. Best available CBs are Sheldon Brown, William Middleton and Jacob Lacey. Any of them would be an upgrade over Poyer.

But they would all be behind on playbook knowledge and we got 6 Corners on our roster.

Besides, Rhodes has a reputation on being more concerned with thing off the field than his game/team. That may be a bad influence on the young guys if there's still such thing. I just don't want another Nnamdi.

So once again should we be looking to the draft as our first round pick should be a DB? I think CB/WR are 2 huge must going into the draft. I know WAY premature it's only week 2 but dang we have not much talent.

We're thin at some areas, but we're far from our 4-12 record last year.

QB/WR/OLB/CB/S are the most pressing issues.

Wouldn't take that long to learn.

DO WANT.

Still hope we can land Hundley, Boyd, or Mariotta. But if not, Roby would be one of my top non QB options.

Remember they just said and admitted, about Watkins, that they made worse off draft choices when they said we NEED to draft a DB or a OG with this pick, and didn't go BPA. If our team is successful this year and close to a playoff team, I can see us making moves if a DB slips past where we have him valued. I really see the whole front office and Chip going BPA in these drafts in these upcoming years.

We need a quality corner badly.. I'm comfortable with Fletcher and Williams manning the outsides, but I'm not sure if Boykin can hold his own out there. He had a nice pick against the Skins but he gave up a lot of catches late in the game. Plus, at 5"9' he doesn't really match up well with big-time playmaking receivers (imagine Boykin against Floyd this week lol).

Boykin's a monster in the slot, but we could use another guy who could play the outside (if Fletcher's concussion is bad). I don't trust Poyer anywhere.

Edit: To add to this, I think we're ok for now at the safety spot. Chung looked atrocious that one play but overall he played good enough Monday night. He's a sure tackler, something we haven't had at safety since B-Dawk (or arguably Mikell). Nate Allen didn't do anything good Monday but he didn't do anything bad. Kerry Rhodes would be a nice pickup but it's kind of pointless at this point in the season.

There is no quality Corner on the market and should we spend resources (Pick or picks) to help our team this year?
