Did he do anything in GB though? He was pretty good in college, but hasn't really made an impact in the NFL yet.

That's a surprise. I think he deserved to make it. I guess we're either only keeping five receivers or we plan on keeping Campbell or Rogers.

Surprised Harrell made it. We're carrying a lot of linebackers and not a lot of receivers.

Overall, eight rookies made the team. All seven draft picks plus Ryan Spadola.

A lot better than last season. We had cut a few before the first game.

I'm shocked About Harrell as well. But he'll probably be the first one cut if there was a free agent we really wanted.

We cut 4 of our 8 picks before the first game last year. Laughing

Could it be that Sanchez is on watch, which is why we are keeping Harrell?

Is a trade or a cut possible? The phrasing was that the Jets may want to "move on" from Sanchez, and it came on cut day.

Good point. Maybe a trade with Green Bay?

Harrell "made" it over McElroy because he's not injured.

As soon as Sanchez is healthy, I'm sure Harrell will be gone.

I agree, it's odd that they chose to retain Harrell. It makes me think something is up. I mean, if they were just worried about depth while Sanchez recovers from his injury, why didn't they just keep McElroy? Did they not like McElroy for some reason? Is something in the works with Sanchez ?

Maybe he won't even last the weekend, but it's seems right now there might be more to this story. I guess there's also the possibility, because he was released with an injury designation, that McElroy could return if he passes through waivers, and put on IR/PUP.
