It's where all former Steelers one day end up. I doubt he'll amount to much there.

Glad to see we held onto both Baxter and Arnfeldt. Thought they might get claimed.

I will echo 43's sentiment and say good riddance tubby. No vision, no dedication.

I'm shocked lf two things.

1. McFadden being cut. Didn't be play well this preseason? I guess they were deep at ILB though, so who made it?

Vince Williams and who else at reserve ILB, Kion Wilson?

2. I'm surprised that Ta'amu got cut in favor of the older Fangupo. Both guys were similar to me, so I'm surprised they didn't keep the younger of the two.

Taamu has always struggled to anchor. He can push but cant sustain. If we want just push there are much quicker more athletic options.

Any news on Hawthorne? I see he didn't make the practice squad, did he sign with someone else?

I always thought he had better vision than any other RB on the team (last year)., but I agree about the dedication.

@MarkKaboly_Trib: #Steelers waive John Malecki and add C/G Cody Wallace of Tampa Bay

Now if only we could find Wimper's replacement.

Hopefully it's a better addition than the last center from Tampa they added...

IIRC, Wallace was drafted by the 49ers but never developed into a quality OL. He is a Guard who can play Center. He is a better fit than Wimpy Whimper.

Not re-signed to the practice squad.

...not retained is 2013 fifth round pick Terry Hawthorne. After spending some time on the injured list this preseason, Hawthorne apparently didn't do enough to stick around.

Ta'amu was claimed by the Cardinals off waivers. McFadden signed by the Raiders. Adrian Robinson was claimed by the Broncos. Interesting spot for him. I think Ta'amu and Robinson can be real players if given the opportunity.

Then again, I think Baxter looked even better than Arob, and hope he ends up back on the roster when they clear Spaeth in a few days.

it'd be cool if they could add Baxter back. I guess it's good to know that a lot of the guys who were tough cuts found new homes right away.

Usually that means your team has good depth.

Is it safe to say that Isaac Redman will get the lionshare of carries Week 1? Should I start him at my flex position?
