Who says we are not cursed?

Tough for the kid and the team, back to the drawing board

That was a player we really could not afford to lose. This hurts us pretty big time considering who is going to start in place of him.

Really rough, he was probably the back up center too.

Heal up quick young man.

Is anyone else upset with BA for keeping the starters in for the start of the 3rd? The starters got there butts kicked in the first half. There was nothing left to prove against SD's backups in the second half. Take the starters out and use the butt-kicking as motivation for the start of the regular season. I know injuries are a part of the game, but Cooper's injury didn't have to happen.

I believe Colledge is, I read he was going to get snaps in the game at center, don't remember if he did though.

I don't blame him at all for leaving the starters in. I would have left them in for one drive to try and get them some positive momentum.

There was a lot left to gain out there, not the least is the chemistry between our QB and receivers and the chemistry on the OL.

It was an unfortunate, freak injury, but it is not the fault of BA for having his guys in at that stage of the game.

You cannot blame BA for leaving them in

With hindsight, it is always easier to make the right decision.

Had nothing happened, still would have been the right decision at the time to send them in.

I had no problem with leaving the starters in, was surprised SD had theirs out. 3rd preseason game, they play longer.

Injuries happen whether preseason, regular season, or training camp we have seen players go down. Sucks but it is what it is, that's why you try to have depth at positions.

I'm going to have to agree to disagree with you guys. Leading a touchdown drive against another teams backups provides little momentum IMO. It only leaves starters vulnerable to injury against players hungry for roster spots looking to make a play or big hit.

No, I have no issue with Arians decision. He felt like the starting unit needed more playing time, so that's that. It's not uncommon for starters to be playing in the third quarter anyway. Not to mention, Cooper is* a rookie, he could use all the reps he can get.

*is or was? Now that he won't he playing this year, do we start referring to his rookie season in the past-tense?

He said before the game the starters were going to get one drive (both O and D) after halftime, really have no problem with it.
