Vernon had a catch for seven yards in our first preseason game against the Cowboys. I hope he gets some more targets over the next two weeks because I think he's a guy that has a chance to make our team.

McGuffie isn't gonna see the field soon. He's still more of an athlete than a football player but he could get called up later in the season for his special teams value.

Vernon I don't think will amount to much. He's already limited athletically and he's fighting for a roster spot despite the fact that he already runs solid routes, has good hands, and is mentally more prepared and experienced than most rookies...

I wouldn't say that a 6'0" 200 receiver with a 4.5 speed is really physically limited. His solid size/athleticism, hands, and route running ability will be enough for him to stick in the NFL.

His size and athleticism are average. Hes a smart, experienced guy with good hands who runs good routes. That's why he looks so good as a UDFA rookies. Give it a few years. He'll be praying for camp invites.

Holmes, Butler, and McGuffie all have more upside. The only 2 receivers with less potential on our team right now are Cribbs and Criner imo...

Tough call. Admittedly, I'm intrigued to see what will happen with these two. I've been so busy that I have no idea what's going on with these two but they are both nice developmental projects on the surface. It takes real Raider fans to go this deep. (and it's a positive story)

Borderline practice squad guys at this point. Vernon moreso than McGuffie.

Ya I think Vernon goes on PS. I like Jenkins there as well above McGuffie.

Holmes should be on the roster until they need to make a decision after his suspension which may buy Cribbs 4 weeks on the roster.

How I see it as well. Cribbs has 4 weeks to show he's healed and has the burst and speed that made him so dangerous in the past.

Personally, I think Cribbs is done.

What is Cribbs going to show in the regular season that he can't/hasn't shown in preseason?

If he's done, it'd be foolish to keep him around.

I could see hanging onto Holmes for the first 4 weeks if he doesn't count against the roster during his suspension. He hasn't really done anything to merit that type of favor, though.

That's the point. Holmes doesn't count against the 53, so they can hold onto Cribbs, see if he gets it back or not (most likely not) and replace him w/ Holmes if they see fit.

Idk about that. I think Vernon would be a great help in the slot. Guy runs good routes. I'd be shocked if Ford stayed healthy.

Yeah I'd PS Vernon. I don't think we've seen enough of him in games to fear him getting snaked.
