NFL NETWORK | Q13 Fox

It's game 3, so the starters will steal the show this week. Still, there are some players worth a look in the second half.

QB: Tavaris Jackson

Spencer Ware vs Derrick Coleman

WR:
Jermaine Kearse
Chris Harper
Stephen Williams
Arceto Clark

TE:
Luke Willson
Sean Mcgrath
Cooper Helfett

OL:
James Carpenter
JR Sweezy
Alvin Bailey
Jared Smith

DL/LEO:
Jaye Howard
Jesse Williams
Jordan Hill
Tony Mcdaniel
Mike Morgan
Benson Mayowa

LB: Bruce Irvin vs O'Brien Schofield
Allen Bradford
John Lotulelei
Ty Powell

CB:
Walter Thurmond
Byron Maxwell
Jeremy Lane

S:
Winston Guy
Jeron Johnson
Chris Maragos

KR/PR: Will Blackmon vs The Field

What to look For

-Standing tall on the road. This won't be what Lambeau is truly capable of, but it'll be the closest thing to a test we'll get before the regular season. They'll be louder than usual in light of last year's event's, can we take that 12th man energy on the road with us this season?

-Yards on the Ground. Keep up with what we've been doing. We missed out on a lot of short yardage opportunities last week despite the huge victory, would like to see the run game force the issue as a unit this week. The Pack weren't strong against the run last year, no excuse not to go out and play smashmouth football

-Solid showing from an Olineman. Do Carpenter and Sweezy really have future's as starters on this team? The idea is to get a convincing glimpse in the time they will be on the field. Would be nice to see one of the lesser known products stand out in hopes of finding some surprise depth. I'm looking at you, Alvin Bailey (He answered the call week 1, can he do it again?...by the way, I called that Cool )

-Does Bruce Irvin belong at LBer? Straight forward. Want to see a preview of what we'll be getting for at least 12 games this year. Hopefully he's not too banged up top participate against the Packers, he has not seen the field in the first two preseason games for seattle.

-Jermaine Kearse and Stephen Williams. Probably the two most impressive players on offense for us so far, luckily make an impact at the WR position. They've dominated against two's and lining up against league-average, at best, talent (for the most part)....what will they do on the road, in a game crowded with starters?

-A young Dlineman shoring up the middle. 3 Young players will have duties at interior Dline this season. One of Jaye Howard, Jessie Williams and Jordan Hill should come up big for us this season....literally. But who?Very Disappointed that no one has stepped up in this area yet

-The Benson Mayowa show. I'll be tuning in, hopefully it's must-see TV. I'm calling a second Half Sack

Golden Tate getting a TD would be hilarious. Especially if he attempts the Lambeau leap after.

Hope the starters are only in for at most a half. Usually the starters stay in for a while for the third pre-season game.

First play around the 40, Russell needs to toss it up to Tate.

Tate also needs to do a Lambeau leap if he scores.

3rd game is different though and Lynch talked himself back onto the field later in the 1sy quarter last week.

I just hope Christian Michael's back is ready to go.

Carroll said DT Jesse Williams, TE Zach Miller and WR Sidney Rice will not play.

Carroll said still shooting for opener with Zach Miller and Sidney Rice. Being cautious.

Carroll: "@tonymcdaniel78 is going to start and we're excited to see what he can do."

Bruce Irvin (groin) is a game-time decision.

Carroll says G James Carpenter is getting closer. Hope is he can do some things next week and play in preseason finale.

FB Michael Robinson is still sick and hasn't been in the building this week.

A bit outlandish even for our standards, I'll admit.

I was at last year's GB/SEA game -- quite the experience. Hoping I can catch tomorrow's game while at work. Expect to hear Micah Hyde's name quite a bit tomorrow, both good and bad. He's been playing more snaps than anyone se in the secondary, and he seems to get better the closet he gets to the line of scrimmage. With Heyward and Williams out, he'll get plenty of time against the Seahawks No. 1 offense. Johnny Jolly has been a pleasant surprise so far this preseason. Nobody really knew what to expect from him.

Also, Eddie Lacy made two runs on the opening drive last week vs. STL that made me get out of my chair and scream "BEASTMODE!!" He looks like a keeper.

Lookin forward to the game!

I have been a fan of Eddie Lacy since he was at Alabama. I think he is going to have a great career.

I usually go into the other teams forum and chat with them on occasion during the game But I dont know if I am going to tonight. Everyone over there hoping for a Cheap Shot on Golden Tate. It could be a warzone in the Packers forum tonight. Laughing
