So Marshall just got cut by the Dolphins. We need help with the secondary, and Marshall didn't resign with us because he was too pricy at the time. Should we give him a flyer? He would probably be one of the better corners on our team. |

My take on players like Marshall is that if it was the only piece we needed to really be legitimate contenders this year, do it. If not, let the young guys develop and draft somebody next year if they don't.
I'm not saying Marshall wouldn't be an upgrade, he probably would make the team and probably get significant time, but he's not the missing piece...so I would say pass. _________________

While I agree with some of your statement, he may indeed end up being that "missing piece" if he has a similar season to the ones he had when he was here before. We let him go because of money not performance, if I remember correctly. I though he was a scrappy guy that played hard every down and we definitely could use him. If we re-signed Captain then Marshall should definitely get another shot!! _________________ I wish I could get paid to talk football, its all I do! |

I'm actually on board with signing him. I think he's gotten better over the years and could actually contribute for us in a positive manner. It would be another above average body for the secondary. He would be a one year rental and wouldn't count against the cap moving forward. _________________
