Hey guys I have a question for anyone that has used this feature of Sunday Ticket. I do a lot of traveling and haven't bought Sunday Ticket for my TV because I am usually on the road. I watch the games at the bars most often in the cities that I am in. Is the quality worth me getting Sunday Ticket almost exclusively for this feature? Is it in HD while I am on my computer, tablet, or phone?

PM me if you have used this feature

Mods... if this needs to be locked please lock it up I just thought this could help other people in my same situation here rather than in TAPT.

Thanks

Buy the anniversary edition of Madden 25 off of Amazon and get Sunday Ticket "free".

Good deal and if you don't want the game just sell it.

Yup, I got that too.

I used it last year on my laptop and the quality was very strong. I don't remember if it was crystal clear HD, but it was definitely excellent quality. If you're gonna try to hook up the laptop to a TV, that's not gonna work though. They must do something to ensure that doesn't work.

Interesting...

Does anyone know if I have this can both me and my roommate watch this on different computers at the same time. He travels almost as much as I do.

Really? I've watched it with my friend on his TV multiple times from his laptop to a TV via HDMI. I don't know how DIRECTV would be able to prevent that since it's just like having it on your computer monitor.

You'll definitely need 2 logins. They're very strict about that.

Hmm...I'm far from a tech expert, but it did a very poor job of syncing up properly. The box was always off center and cut off at least a quarter to a third of the screen in all. Maybe the HDMI I had was defective (I've since upgraded), but I thought I remembered reading up on this at some point. Of course I'll try again week one and see what comes of it, but I just remember some kick time frustrations last year with this.

How do you get 2 logins with 1 account? Is that possible?

Yeah, its definitely possible to connect it to your TV. I did it for every Packers game when I was away at school.

Yes sir. I ran a Thunderbolt to VGA to my monitor and it worked fine. Same goes to TV, but switch out the Thunderbolt to VGA to Thunderbolt to HDMI. This is for Macs, obviously.

Unfortunately only 1 login per account. Basically there's no good way to share to my knowledge.

Sorry 1 last question. There were people on the reviews that were saying there were a lot of games blacked out. Did this happen to you guys and lest say I was in MN and the Vikings were on at the same time I should be able to watch the Packers on my computer right? As far as I know blackouts only happen if the stadium is too empty.

If it's anything like the NHL package, your game will be blacked out on Sunday Ticket if it is available for you to watch in your area on national TV. So if it's on MNF, SNF, TNF, or scheduled to be on CBS/FOX during the day in your location, it will be blacked out.

If the game doesn't sell out then it is blacked out entirely and won't be on TV if you live in the market of the team. i.e. Buffalo at the end of the year.

Right. Someone from DirecTv today tried to tell me that it doesn't matter where you are it will blackout the game that your address is at not where your device is at. I thought that was really strange so I looked it up and on the website it says device location. So I am correct in assuming that the guy from DirecTV had no clue what he was talking about lol.

Basically what the guy from DirecTV said was...

I live in MN so the Viking will be blacked out on my computer if I am in Colorado but I will be able to see the Bronco game on my laptop.

In reality it is...

I live in MN and am in Colorado so the Bronco game is blacked out but every other game not shown in Colorado that day will be on my laptop.

I could be totally wrong but I think the guy is right. I'm pretty sure it knows your original address and blacks out games there, not your current location. I might be thinking about the NHL package though. I would do some more research or maybe call back and try to get a different person because I'm not 100% positive on the answer.
