Seahawks basically admitted they missed on Moffitt (3rd round/2011) by dealing him. Sanford might not make the 53-man roster.

Moffett fill a big need for Browns at guard, where Jason Pinkston was recently injured

Seattle looking for DEs with Irvin facing suspension and Clemons still coming back from injury. Browns deep DL. Could benefit both sides

This means Pete and John like what they see in Alvin Bailey and the other young lineman me thinks.

Pretty much. Sweezy must be impressing the FO and Alvin Bailey has been really good thus far. James Carpenter must also factor into this decision, because he would push Paul McQ into the competition for RG, where he is better than John Moffitt.

You'll like Sanford. It was just a numbers game and while he's very solid, he just isn't good enough to earn PT over Bryant, Rubin, Winn and Hughes.

Sanford should push for time as a LDE. He's no pass rusher, and really is a stretch to make the team. Don't hate him, but he has little time to prove himself.

Good riddance to Moffitt. These Wisconsin lineman are overrated as hell.

Sad to see the best personality this team has seen go. Love Moff the guy, but he has defenitly been a bust, gets pushed around far too much.

Best of luck in Cle, ill be pulling for the guy. Great guy, great guy.

Might be a great guy, but he was a [inappropriate/removed] poor excuse for a professional football player. The guy did not treat it like a job. This is the first year he even watched what he ate and I've never heard he was much of a weight room guy. I was hoping this would be the year he turned it around, but it looks like it wasn't so I'm glad to see them ship him out.

I'm surprised we picked up a de like Sanford - I was pretty happy with our depth at that position with Bryant and Bennett, I like Sanford as a player though.

Seemed to me we used Big Red quite a bit inside last game, Im really starting to wonder if were going to see him spend some significant time there. Maybe Sanford is depth to allow that.

Last time we made a trade like this was Kelly "burnt toast" Jennings for Clinton "solid depth" McDonald. I think we got a good deal on that one maybe Moffitt will take his career more serious meanwhile we get a solid depth guy.

Also means our rooks have a decent chance of making this roster. Bowie, Bailey and Smith have all looked good in preseason.

Hate to see him go, but that just has to do with his personality and nothing with his playing Laughing That being said, i really really hope he succeeds.

Hopefully this trade turns out as good as Daryll Tapp for Chris Clemons Very Happy

Okung Caro Unger Sweezy Breno
Bailey McQ LJP Bowie

Don't think Smith sticks this year. We saw both Bailey and Bowie at OG last game so the FO must have liked what they saw and made this move based ALOT on that as well as the progression of Sweezy.
