Players I would trade on our team right now:

Alex Green
John Kuhn
C.J. Wilson

Not much we can do... The Packers rarely trade players.. I don't think we can afford to trade guys right now.

I would say try to trade Pickett, maybe as a shocker, Raji... but that would hurt our team a great deal.

The DLine creates some issues, but I don't think I'd make a move to ship Pickett or Wilson out of here. Best run defenders on the team. What they're doing with Neal right now is confusing. Raji is an untouchable, of course. Datone, Jerel, and Mike Daniels are future, if not right at the moment, starters. Boyd warranted a 5th round selection and has too much promise to cut ties with at this point. Jolly is already flashing the dominance he once possessed (the man was ELITE) and I struggle to contain my optimism with him - if he's at this point already, I can't help but think about where he'll be mid season.

We essentially have 8 DL talented enough to be starters on most rosters, and one backup (Boyd). I'm curious to see how far Worthy is in his recovery and how quickly he can get back into the groove of things, or if it will even be worth it to bring him back this season at all.

I think Neal with his injury-history is the most expendable, but he flashed serious pass rush potential last year and I'm not willing to let go of him now. Pickett has skills that will last him past this season.

This is a good problem to have. Very Happy

I feel bad for Alex Green but he just isn't healthy yet. I am very interested to see how Harris does when he plays again. likey next week, and theh see what Green Bay does. John Kuhn fan favorite might be inr eal trouble to make the final 53.

I've seen a lot of fan speculation that Kuhn is on the roster bubble, but is that based on anything other than wishful thinking? He's still getting some first team looks as FB and special teams snaps. I'm not personally advocating for him on the 53, but just curious to the source of the speculation.

I feel like DJ Williams could fetch a late-rounder between teams like NE or MIA.

The way some fans are looking at Quarless' and Sherrod's injuries confuses me.

Both are young and had gruesome injuries.

Both have shown very little so far on the field.

One many are seemingly EXPECTING to come back and replace a player who has three of the top 5 seasons in Packer history at his posting despite averaging 1 catch and 11 yards a game.

The other many are EXPECTING to be completely written off.

I seriously don't get it.

I think it's overreacting. He fills a role that no one else on the roster does at this point. No, the 3rd and 1 FB dive doesn't work a lot. Talk to the OL and MM about that. John Kuhn's contract is also not preventing us from signing anybody.

Might we be able to swing a late pick for one of the DL depth from Oak or KC? Hate to lose them for free.

Whoever mentioned EDS might still have a foot injury, I hope you are right, at least two awful plays where Lacy had to make guys miss in the backfield. Yikes.

It has taken too damn long to finally accumulate a decent front to weaken it by trading pieces away. Especially with Raji, Pickett, Wilson, Jolly and Neal all in the final year of their contracts. Its about keeping the best 53. Maybe you don't keep a 6th WR or a 5th TE or a fullback. You can probably waive those guys and get them back if necessary. Plus you never know .... a guy like Boyd may "tweak" a hamstring. You could have Crosby kick him in the back of the leg but he'd probably miss

To me, we could have called last night's game the "Reminiscent Game" because new players reminded me of other greats (that doesn't mean they will be as effective, it just means there was suggestions they can be utilized in a similar manner).

~Eddie Lacy reminded me of a young Marion Barber. Lives for contact, very physical, doesn't go around tacklers, goes through them. This is both good and bad. Good because he is effective, will bring a physical attitude to our team, and likely will wear down a defense to the point other RBs such as Jonathan Franklin will become effective as well. Bad, because the shelf life of a physically imposing RB is not very long (just look at Barber).
~Vince Young reminded a bit of Aaron Rodgers. At this point in his career he is a pocket passer, but he can move around the pocket extremely well (like Rodgers). Still has a lot of rust to shake off, but the important thing is he is growing every week.
~Micah Hyde reminds me a lot of Charles Woodson. Not quite the ballhawk, but the way we use him as an extra LB, and then drop him into coverage is very Woodson-esqe IMO.

LIS, not saying they will be as effective as the players I've mentioned, but they reminded me of some great players, and that is a good sign...
