Brice Butler--can't wait to see this guy in the regular season. He's been awesome.

Ok, finally got around to watching the replay. I guess I failed to see really anything good during the first half. The oline was awful all game and pass rush was non-existent as well. Tracy Porter was burnt more than the charcoal in my grill. On and on and on.

Ok so Flynn. He had two great passes all game. Unfortunately that was two more than anyone else. He definitely had the "best" game of the 3 QBs, but there is no way he should be considered having a good game. Unless your saying good that he didn't get injured or turn the ball over.

Pryor. He had no more time than Flynn did. He may have escaped it better, but he did only attempt 5 passes with maybe a few more intended pass plays.

I really can't compare the two of them unless Pryor gets to play with #1s and run at least most of the same plays. With that said, Flynn is the starting QB until he either gets hurt or we are 5+ games under .500. There's a good over/under for ya.

I guess I was hoping for more, but we really are a an expansion team just getting started.

So we traded for a Jason Campbell 2.0? or a Kerry Collins?

Nope. Both of those QBs were decent QBs when we got them. Both had been starting QBs before. Campbell wasn't great, but he had a few seasons of starting. Collins despite his flaws was a QB who led two different teams deep into the playoffs. Collins was on par with Palmer and Flynn isn't even on par with Campbell.

I'd rather watch the season go down the drain with Pryor then Andrew Walter 2.0

Nah, he linked to the wrong piece and quoted the whole thing for some reason (a forum nono).

Some guy called Samuel Charles wrote it, and its without doubt the worst article I have ever read.

Quote:
Plus-minus for points scored under each QB : Flynn -16 (7-23), Pryor +10 (10-0), and McGloin -2 (3-5).

Laughing What does that even mean? The D played way worse against Drew Brees, than Seneca Wallace. That's Flynn's fault apparently.

Flynn was the only QB who led us on a drive, Pryor took over inside there 20 and managed to get 3 points. Wow, impressive. Pryoy looked like crap, no way he was better than Flynn. Anyone objective could tell you that.

Pryor recognized the blitz, hurried an audible, got his receivers in position, calmly beat the play-clock without wasting a timeout, and then outran a blitzing defender he’d been eyeing for a first down.

A botched snap on second down at the Saints’ 7-yard line saw Pryor collect the ball, look downfield, find a receiver, and then decide better of it while under pressure, so he tried to get it out of bounds. Pryor’s throw was almost intercepted, but he worked very hard to get that incompletion so the offense had 3rd down at the 7-yard line, instead of ten yards back.

ROFLMAO!

Summary, pocket QB bad; running QB good aka "the run Carson Palmer outta town so we can get our boy in der" argument 2.0. What does it matter? Start Pryor already. These type of position pieces are the reason we are laughing stocks.

Good:
Team didn't just give up like it seemed in the recent past...
We're improving, but we have a way to go...

Bad:We won't get Clowney

Ugly: Seeing how bad the lines are O & D

EDIT: I wouldn't mind a QB by committie approach to this season...
I'd keep all 4 as I think all will get injured at some point in the season. Shocked

Its a little funny the doom and gloom mostly on the outside for us because of this game. Nobody really noticed the Chargers and Broncos played just as bad. I watched both of those games as well fully, you should too. SD had better second half then Denver as did we. Here are some quick numbers though. Our biggest issues were the sacks so I have to wonder how well we would have done without them.

SD vs CHI
-------
1st half 20-7 Chicago, Final 33-28 Chicago
Rivers 5/9, 0 TD, 1 INT, 1 Fumble lost, 3 sacks
Seems like same old stuff from last year from Rivers.

DEN vs SEA
-------
1st half 33-7 SEA, Final 40-10 SEA
Manning 11/16, 1 TD, 0 INT

Manning did well however the rest of the team stunk it up.

OAK vs NO
--------
1st half 23-7 NO, Final 28-20 NO
Flynn 12/16 1 TD, 0 INT, 5 sacks
At least Flynn didn't fumble. Did ok for what he had.

--------------------
In addition thus far this offseason in AFC West we have the most points, 2nd most TD's, 2nd least points allowed, and tied for 1st in net points.

I know this means nothing but improvement from last season.

Laughing Plus/minus when evaluating QBs. Wowwww.

Pryor should start because we got a defensive TD against Seneca Wallace. That makes sense.

Probably the worst thing I've read in the past year. Problem is, I bet some people wherever were nodding like "Oh yeah, that makes complete sense". I hope this person is not paid for their thoughts.

If you think Flynn and Walter are comparable in anything other than skin color then wow. They are nothing alike. Walter had a strong arm, Flynn does not. Walter was a statue, Flynn is not. Walter was young when we stuck him in there, Flynn is not.
