So dudes, another game in the books. What were your thoughts? My few points are as follows. Will add to tomorrow.

Good:

Jack Crawford
David Bass
King had acouple great punts
The gifs in the game day thread
Moore had acouple good gains
Second/Third team D, not letting up any TD's, only 1 FG iirc.

Bad:

McFadden didnt do much again in his limited snaps
Taking the knee before half. Its pre season, the game does not count score wise. Why waste the 30 seconds?

Friggen Nasty:

Pass protection throughout the game
Pass rush from first team D
Flynn sans the beautiful TD pass
Injuries

I'm watching the re-air now so I'll get back to you, but Flynn doesn't look bad right now. Can't really blame him for the sacks

I dont know what it is with the guy for me, I loved the pickup, but now I think its just pure frustration for the lack of potential he has. I think he has basically maxed out. He has solid mobility, okay accuracy, okay smarts... but thats it. This season is such a big risk, big reward type of year. So many positions up for grabs, and I just rather roll with Pryor who has the potential to grow further along than Flynn. Esecially with our line how it is, Pryor can offer our shaky offence a lot more. Pryor I can see being on our roster for acouple more years, while Flynn I see being shown the door next year.

Cant recall if he recorded a sack or tackle, but he did scoop up the forced fumble caused by Bass, and returned it like 4 yards into the endzone for a TD.

Don't know what the complaints about Flynn were for. Aside from missing Mastrud who was apparently wide open (didn't see the replay), Flynn was fine.

Good:
2nd Team pass rush was much better.Turnovers too.
Flynn - TD throw was sweet. Needs time to throw.
Special Teams - Solid coverage and Good Putting battle.

Bad:
Run Blocking - No room to run
Porter - Brees picked on him all night. Got beat by a rookie.
TE - still no stand out. Ausberry had the early catch and got hurt. Rivera got pushed back in the endzone, had one catch.

Grotesque:
Barron & Gurode - Either missed blocks or got completely blown by.
1st team pass rush - Brees had all night.
McGloin - INT. He had Wilson all but out before that throw.

Injuries: Burnett, Porter, Carmona, & Ausberry. Reportedly pretty serious.

Good:
- Jack Crawford
- David Bass
- Flynn's drive once he had protection
- Denarius Moore showed up
- King looks like he's consistent
- Brice Butler

Bad:
- Cribbs looks like crap and refuses touchbacks.
- More injuries
- Porter was toast
- No pass rush vs the 1's (bad instead of ugly since we're missing starters)

Ugly:
- Offensive line play as a whole. Good LAWD.
- Andre Gurode
- Alex Barron
- Alex Parsons (thanks dante)

Wasn't that Crawford's 1st sack ever? Preseason/Regular Season.

Took him 3 quarters and against their backups.

Bass and Robinson look like the only threats off the edge aside from Houston and Carter.

What do you want from me? The guy had a good game. I said in the GDT I thought he was a sure cut then he played that way.

I didn't want to start anything by having Pryor on bad so I let it be. Laughing

Parsons is a good catch though.

Pass protection and pass rush are two huge factors in winning in the NFL and we suck at both.
