According to Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin, the two sides are in “preliminary talks” regarding a new contract. “I will say things are going in the right direction,” Baldwin said, via the Seattle Times. “I don’t know how much time it’s going to take. They’ve got the draft to deal with.

Personally feel that Baldwin made a poor decision by not signing the tender, have to imagine he lost leverage in negotiations. He could have played out the year in a more expanded role (I predict) and tested the open market next offseason. Now he's stuck in a situation where he has to sign a new contract with us, he can't gauge his value with other teams, and he can't sign his tender.

Good for our cap situation though Laughing

Whats odd imo is he didn't sign that tender and he still went to voluntary workouts lol.

This just means he really wants to be here. This might mean he will take a lower cap number to stay

He doesn't really have a choice at this point.

So, Stevie Johnson is a 49er now.....that's not good. Not good at all. They can pick another wideout in the late second and all of a sudden been in really good shape at the position.

Damn.

They already are in really good shape at the position.

Crabtree....Boldin...........X X X X X .Davis..................Johnson

Is probably as good a group of receivers as there is in the NFL

For now, but going forward they may have to make a choice between Johnson and Crabtree. So getting some young talent now to develop in the next year or two would set them up nicely. I don't really believe in any receivers on their roster passed the top 3, Patton is on the fringe for me.

Am I the only one who doesn't see the significance of Richardson being 10? Laughing

I don't see Marsh as the Clemons replacement either. He's a LE/UT in the future
