Neal was our best inside pass rusher by a wide margin last year guys, he fails at stopping the run when two gapping against bigger interior lineman. He's a 5-tech in base, an OLB in nickel, and a 3 tech when it's a sure pass down. I think you guys underrate him personally.

Got to say I was pessimistic about Jolly's chances to make the squad coming into the preseason and was pleasantly surprised.

Regarding hijacking: any opinions as to if one of Boyd, Pena, or Miller has done more than the other to stand out and round out the D-line rotation.

NAZ, I think Boyd played a lot better than either Pena or Miller. Miller didn't look good whatsoever when I focused on him, and I didn't watch for Pena. When I was focusing on the LBs towards the end Boyd was definitely playing the best along the defensive line though

Yeah Boyd looked great, dominated his guy and got into the back field a bunch.

Seems to me possible only one of Wilson, Jolly or Boyd make the cut. Maybe two. Almost certainly not three.

Am I the only one expecting him to revert back to his 2009 form when he was our best D lineman? I realize he hasn't played in four years, but his body also hasn't taken the physical pounding either.

The guy can play, and I for one am expecting him to.

How did Datone look before he went down? Embarrassed to say I missed the game.

For Jolly, I'm so in. Love that he is nasty and he has a great knack for batting down balls at the LOS. I'm in.

I think that was more a result of who the other DL were.

Raji
Pickett
Jones

are all guys who are probably outright better

Daniels
Worthy

are as talented with youth and upside

Neal

Probably has more "talent" just cant stay on the field

Pickett

Is just the consummate pro and does his job well. Might be about on par with Jolly.

If all these guys are healthy, I don't know that Jolly even makes the team.

He played 1 snap I believe.

Yeah, I agree. Wilson, Boyd and Jolly all looked very good in the pre-season game as well. I think 7 DL are kept and Neal sees a lot of time at OLB, but that still leaves Green Bay with some tough decisions.

Wilson should go. He's good in the run game but offers nothing in the way of rushing the passer.

He sprained his ankle on his only play, but according to Raji "he whipped the guy he was facing" So he just fell down after a fast move on the offensive lineman.

He only played one snap, but he beat the lineman.

If the Packers were smart they would re-sign Jolly to a 3-4 year extention with exclusions that covered them against another relapse.

He beat him so badly with a quick stutter off the snap that Cooper had a really wide base trying to recover to his right. Datone kinda tripped over his knee. Raji wasn't exaggerating when he said he had a good shot to get the sack.
