A thread for all the non-Jets stuff happening around the league.

The Dolphins and Cowboys are playing in the Hall of Fame Game right now. Dallas Thomas looks AWFUL for the Dolphins.

Dolphins Left Tackle situation looks worse than our RT situation past couple years

And for the short bits they were in Moore looked better than Tannehill

Shame on them

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Both the starting LT and backup both got burn multiple times with the rusher barely even getting touched. Luckily for them they took Tannehill out cause like the first or second play after that Moore got crushed on his blind side.

Their O-line and running game are important to their success and it wasn't exactly a successful start for them.

It was nice to watch some football though.

Seeing Miami last night made me realize that their defense isn't all that stacked. Soliai might be the only one who can play the run & their DB's are average imo. But it's only one preseason game, a lot can change.

They probably have a top 5 safety combo in the NFL. However, they are probably bottom 5 at CB.

Their safties are pretty good, but I'm not sure if I would put them in top 5 combo. Either are not the type of safties you have to stay away from. I respect them. That's why I said average because of how good they are and how bad their CB's are.

Miami is going to be a tough test as usual. We played two horrible games against them last year. I personally dont think they are better than we are, and I also think losing Jake Long was more significant that gaining one trick pony Mike Wallace and DK. I liked Keller, but he regressed the past two years. If our line plays well and Ivory stays healthy we are going to be able to stick with a lot of teams win or lose.

I do agree that MIA is really being overrated on these boards. I think they end up second in the division behind NE but they might not even make the playoffs. I think they will hover around .500 for most of the year. That'll put them in the hunt but maybe on the outside looking in.

I got NYJ/BUF both around 5-7 wins, MIA around 7-9, and NE around 9-11.

They added some names but lost some key pieces as well. Their line looks subpar (still early though), they lost a big time playmaker in Bush (still remains to be seen what Miller is), they added Wallace (who is as explosive as they come but lacks in others areas) and they added Keller (who has one route the run 5 yards and turn around route. Oh and he's a horrible blocker).

Their D will be good but they can be exploited in the air.

They improved on D with Jordan I'd say and at WR with Wallace/Gibson but really got hurt in two important areas RB and O-line and Keller isn't an upgrade really at TE.

Unless Tannehill steps up this year I don't expect MIA to be all that much better than last year. That's not even cause I hate MIA either, that's an honest opinion.

Keller wasn't a terrible TE, but he was soft at times.

Miami spent a lot of money this offseason, and typically those types of teams don't make it too far in the postseason. I still think NE will win the division, but Miami does have a chance because of their defense. But their season hinges on Tannehill's arm. If he doesn't improve, they will be around .500 again.

He was made of glass and wasn't a tough runner.

A very bad combination for a big RB.

I was very, very high on him, so I'm pretty disappointed in how his career turned out.

Miami wont be any good this year. Spending a crap ton of money on players who have never played together before never works out. They will be this year's buffalo bills.

I think more likely they're like the 08 Jets. They'll show flashes of being really, really good but still miss the playoffs. I have them hovering somewhere between 7-9 wins right now.
