Oh T. Smith....that dude is so frustrating. Had him in my money league last year and traded him off early. So much talent but such a roller coaster.

Solid pick though

Yeah, the rookies can't be added until we enter everything after the draft. It's just a technical hiccup.

I'm a huge believer in Vernon's talent.

Hoping that getting rid of Alex Smith can help bring about fulfilled potential on his part.

I don't disagree, but his numbers once Kaepernick took over the QB position were average at best. His talent is undeniable, but there are questions about his role in the offense.

Actually once Kap got comfortable with him his numbers went up right around playoffs.

Off-season to work on timing etc with Davis. No Crabtree. Yea Davis should beast

No. Kaepernick took over the full time job in week 11. From weeks 11 to 17, Vernon had a TOTAL of 12 receptions, 144 yards and 1 TD. Total. He was only decent in the playoffs, gaining 44, 105 and 106 yards each week, and only finished with 1 TD. Those are average at best numbers.

I don't doubt that they'll improve this year, but there are still questions.

No sure what you are arguing with my post. You said same thing I did about his numbers going up around playoffs. Rolling Eyes

They were bad until the second round of the playoffs, then just pretty good for those following two weeks. In total, when Kaepernick was the QB, his numbers were pretty bad. You can pretend that it means the same thing, but it doesn't.

It is called more reps with first offense. Getting to know one another on field. Pretending cohesiveness does not get better is dumb

Well, at the very least the loss of Crabtree will help.

Vernon Davis has an insane amount of talent if everything finally falls into place he should have a great year. But, we'll have to wait and see.
