The Raiders have signed free agent offensive lineman Andre Gurode, General Manager Reggie McKenzie announced Friday.

Gurode played in a 151 games and started 127 in his career for the Cowboys and Ravens, he was selected twice All-Pro and five times to the Pro-Bowl.

At this point of his career Gurode doesn't have that much left to offer but should provide a nice veteran presence for the Raiders while competing for a starting role at either center or guard.

Veteran depth, but he hasn't been good (if he ever was) for a while. Will be lucky to make the final roster.

Never thought he was great for Dallas. Good, not great.

Signed with the Bears last year and got cut three days later... We didn't exactly have a lot of OL competition either.

Hopefully good depth. Best case scenario a starter at LG or C. Worst case, cut before the season and is nothing but camp fodder.

Only reason I know his name is because he's the guy Haynesworth stomped on.

He's the perfect distillation of pro-bowls being meaningless. His career in Dallas was snapping balls over Romo's head and then whiffing on his block.

He's still in the league? You figured he'd have washed out once he went from a good/serviceable starter to a complete waste of a roster spot.
