No one started this yet, and it's two days away.

Matt Brown recently was waived:

This means Harrell/Coleman will likely be the only other two QB's in camp to throw passes. More reps in practice/most of the PS game-time will be spent figuring who the best #2 would be for Rodgers.

I really hope Coleman shines, it'll be nice knowing we have a reliable backup.

What's better than one BJ?

Two BJ's.

I hope he shines, aswell.

Yes I think BJ has a real shot to be a good QB in the league. He has all the physical tools just needs to make better decisions and tune it up a bit. TBH I don't care who tightens it up but we need a better backup QB this year.

I don't know why people care about our backup QB so much. If Rodgers goes down, kiss our SB chances good bye.

Because if Rodgers only misses a game and a half, it would be nice to have a chance to win those. Obviously if he misses the season we are screwed.

Cue Matt Flynn's 6 touchdowns against the Lions.

i'm also rooting for Coleman... he has the arm to make throws that Harrell cant... but it'll mean nothing if BJ cant read a defense/run an O

I love training camp though! i cant wait to spend every 5 minutes updating my twitter feed to see what Wes Hodkowits has to say about 7 on 7's

football season is almost here!!!

And I'll be lynched for starting that other thread. And I will deserve it too. Hell, I'll probably beat my own a*s.

The point of having a good backup quarterback is to have someone who can lead you to a 2-2 record if the quarterback happens to miss four games with an injury. That's how I've always kind of looked at it: someone who won't completely kill your season if the No. 1 guy goes down.

This is so true. The back up QB needs to be capable of "guiding" the team to a win in the games you should, if the starter is out (or maintain the lead if starter is lost during a game). Hopefully with an improving D and running game, that backup QB would not have as much pressure as the rest of the team is capable of winning a game without the QB playing elite.

I don't think so. PFT mentioned that they are stuck on a workout bonus for the 4th year of the contract because of what the guy after him got. I can't imagine that'll drag out. Hopefully a signing today or tomorrow.

If your #1 QB misses most of the season, it is better for your season to go completely to hell, then regroup the following year. That is how I've always looked at it. Clowney FTW!!!!
