Sorry that I haven't posted much recently. I went to the practices on Thursday and Friday.

Notes:

- Barner is a stud. He may be a small back but he can run with some power. He was a great pick.

- Mitchell has continued to make plays at the safety spot. I'm pretty sure we could pencil him in as the starter at this point.

- As much as it has been said in the past, Edwards has been having a noticeably great camp. Wherever you look #14 is making plays which is great to see.

- Cam has been pretty inconsistent from what I've seen. At times he looks like the second coming. Other times he looks like Jake Delhomme in the 2008 NFC playoffs.

- Kickers are fun to watch in training camp. They are on a completely different field and they literally do nothing the whole time. It was like watching 8th grade football players goof off when their coaches weren't watching.

- I'm disappointed that Kugblia and Beason have been out thus far, but I've at least seen Beason out there taking mental reps the whole time.

- At one point it looked like Deangelo went down with a bad ankle injury, but he came back after about 5 minutes. Everyone went silent.

- I believe #38 is Lester and if so he has been playing well. Seems like he will be the #3 safety behind Mitchell and Godfrey.

I may be out there tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

word is the honey badger is an absolute stud in practice while learning 4 different positions. i'm so happy we don't draft guys with character concerns, i for one need my team to be full of choir boys, their ability to play football comes second

Like Aaron Hernandez?

I know, I know. Not trying to argue that point, just sayin'.

But seriously, it's training camp. Honestly, I think the reason we couldn't pick is because our current honey badger might've sent him to the ER.

Armanti has looked great the past few training camps.
You are the quintessential example of an overreacting fan.

I think back to the Superdome reopening in 2006, and how that crowd and that city responded. For people with no homes, all some of them had were their Saints. We were all Saints fans that night, and it really makes this sport worth keeping such a close bond to. These kind of moments are the things that never get media spotlight while guys like Hernandez get coverage from fifteen networks. There are some bad apples in the bunch, but a world without football is a world I never want to see.

I knew right when Smitty walked in that he was going to get in the new coach's mind. I can imagine the same meeting that happened when he first met Cam Newton, seems legit, no stretch acting there. Wink

There is bad apples out there, but the thing to remember is; there will always be more good than bad in this world. For every bad story you hear on the news, there's tens of hundreds of uplifting stories we'll never hear about.

Steve Smith said Lafell and Edwards have worked very hard and improved over offseason. Lets see what Edwards can do in games now.

1. Edwards has played awesome. Got some reps at #1.

2. DJ Campbell had a big (albeit unnecessary) hit on Olsen. That sparked a fight on the next play.

3. Brandon Williams struggled a lot today.

4. Cam was on the money today with his passes. It was awesome to see.

5. Witnessed Hardy working with Lotulelei on the sidelines. It was great to see a vet getting a rookie up to speed.

Thanks for the report.

I've heard about Lotulelei and Hardy working together after practices in a short article about him. Rivera has said both Short and Star have performed up to expectations. I can't wait to see this defensive line unleash.

Seems like I've heard about Armanti on a daily basis and the comments aren't just shout outs for working hard, he's making plays. I'll have to see it in preseason though. I'm curious how they're using him in the offense.

Same garbage about Armanti. Let's make a play in the regular season before we a say anything.
