McCoy is also coming off an injury and a year in which he was extremely ordinary. He fumbled the ball twice as often as he rushed for touchdowns. Peters has been mentioned as the best left tackle in all of football and has been named an All Pro. Shady may take a major step in his career this coming season but he has never been mentioned as the best player in the league at his position and in all likelihood, never will.

True, but he could be playing in the same era as the RB who ends up being GOAT.

A concussion is different from an achilles tendon that was torn twice.

The all-pro thing is weak because McCoy and Peters both made the all-pro team (AP) in 2011 for the first time, together.

And yes, McCoy was mentioned as one of the best at his position his all-pro year and when Adrian Peterson tore his knee up. McCoy ranked #18 in the NFL's top 100 list, 18! That's top 20 in the entire league.

I'm not putting a dude who hasn't seen the field in years over a young running back who is competitively decorated in relation to Peters.

IMO, the argument for Peters is weak. Saying that his absence caused Shady's struggles is absolutely ridiculous. He is a left tackle, his main job is to protect the QB, not run blocking. Also, our whole line was hurt last year, so saying Peters absence was the one that made the difference in McCoy's production makes no sense. Peters is a good starting LT. Maybe even top 5, but he is certainly not the best LT in football, not even close. Give me the 25 year old playmaker over the older lineman that is coming off two major injuries.

The Real McCoy is the only answer at #1.

We were a combined TD away from being 0-16, When Peters played, we didn't go below .500.

Shady may be the best player on the team, but Peters is the most valuable.

Also doesn't really help the case considering he hasn't played an entire season and could be a completely different player once he takes the field.

Some people seriously underrating how serious a ruptured achilles is, let alone it happening twice! Only answer here is... Alex Henery

-2nd most accurate kicker in NFL history (min 50 attempts)
-almost hit a 58 yarder once, would've been good from 63+ if it was accuratley placed
-was picked in 4th round as kicker so you know he's legit
-bench presses 480 lbs

Reaching Laughing ["if it was accurately placed"]

At least Henry got two votes now.

Fact is, he's still a Kicker. Shouldn't crack the top 5.

He shouldn't even be on the list. If a kicker is one of your top 20-30 football players, your team has serious talent issues.
