Quote:
Rambo replied, “I used to look up to Sean Taylor. Rest in peace to a great man, he was a great player. I really respected him, and looked up to him.”

“Right now (out of active players), I’d say Ed Reed. I just like his playing style. I just try to do certain things like him, like reading the quarterback and just playing certain types of coverages. And just having that knack for the ball.”

When asked “The Redskins need some safety help. What would it mean to you to be drafted by a team that a guy you idolized played for?”

Rambo replied, “It would mean a lot to me. It would be just such an honor just to play for them. I would really enjoy playing for them. It’s a great city and I know that I get a lot of love and support from a great fan base.”

I didn't know if anyone saw this from back in April but its nice to know that Rambo patterned his game after Sean and that he's very humble about it. He said he looked up to Sean, respected him and may he RIP. he said he likes to play like Ed Reed also and have that knack for reading the qb, getting to the ball and making plays.[/list]

It's cool that Bacarri Rambo idolized Sean Taylor.
I'm sure plenty of guys did, and continue to idolize ST.

Still, I don't think we'll see a safety with Sean's ability/insticts/athleticism/size.

I felt like he was to safeties/NFL what LeBron James is to the forward position/NBA.

Anyway...
That type of pressure isn't on Rambo.
As long as he doesn't blow too many assignments, whiff on too many tackles, and creates some turnovers, I'm happy.

Yeah, I totally agree. I hope fans let these rookies develop also. Doughty and Landry got called out a lot for both making plays in their times here that people say Sean would have made. Those comparisons weren't fair to Doughty and Landry, so I hope I don't see any of that when Rambo and Thomas make mistakes

That is REALLY cool, turtle.

I can't believe he idolized Taylor, said all that about playing for the team.... Then we also get Phillip Thomas in this draft who is a Redskins fan

How awesome is that??

I always hesitate when spelling his name.
I forget if it's two "C's" or two "R's" in Bacarri.

well there's 2 things:

1. I'm still a bad speller
2. My iphone wanted to spell it the other way, so I thought it was right. I guess that's why you should never assume Laughing

If his name was actually Bacardi Rambo he would have the greatest name in the history of the NFL.

point was you didn't need to look it up WHEN YOU WERE QUOTING something with his name in it right after u spelled it lmao Laughing that's what made the 494th iphone excuse funny...

But anyway it's spelled is better than his original name that I won't mention since he already said he won't answer to it

I think this guy is going to be one of my favorite players Laughing
