Glad to see us lock up a very valuable player for the long haul. I'll take it.

wow! that is good...is this Elway's first five year contract that he has handed out...that says a lot about how they feel about Clady.

I think Peyton was his first five year contract.

Was he five years?

Ryan Clady to me on how he plans to celebrate: "I don't have any plans for my new money right now, but Brandon Marshall is in town so we might go out. Overall, I'm happy to be a Bronco long-term. This is a big year for myself and the team. I'm excited to see the outcome. There are a lot of expectations."

As long as a trip to McDonald's or a game of pickup basketball doesn't happen we're good.

Glad he's going to be here for a while longer. I think the price is about right for both sides.

Glad this is dont. Clady was simply too valuable to even smell free agency. I'm glad they came to a consensus. This is best for both teams

Wouldn't surprise me too much if negotiations fail and Clady plays under the franchise tag this year. Why, pretty much for all the reasons previously stated. Denver won't break the bank for him.

We've got an interesting wildcard here, Alex Gibbs. I read an interview with Maguzzo (sic) and he was questioned as to how Gibbs is being used. Primarily it's working with the younger, non-starters. Outstanding!!

Gibbs has an incredible history of bringing out the best in young O Lineman and is probably the best technique coach out there.

I'll be real curious watching the backups during the preseason. One of them will be Clady's replacement, probably Beadles too. Gibbs has a history of shuffling lines from season to season and never missing a beat, replacing higher priced players with draft picks and developmental ( IE: Matt Lepsis) players.

Bet he works his magic again.

I don't know if I agree 100% here. I don't think Alex Gibbs was brought in to run the show..

Okay, I think you miss read my post. According to Maguzzo he's being used specifically to work with the non-starters on technique, etc. Not running the show. That's Maguzzo's job.

Apologies, you did say that. My fault there.

No problem. I'm just really excited to see what Gibbs can do with our young talent. The guys a wizard.

I thought last year was Clady's best as a Pro. He seems great on Twitter and in the media too, so I don't see his motivation dipping at all.

The Broncos could simply franchise him again next season if he does not want to sign the deal offered.

Then you risk him not playing...

Its now or never IMO. I think it gets done on Sunday.

I called it earlier in the week. Glad to have Ryan around for the bridge from Peyton to Brock. Need to solidify the WR position now.
