I just saw on NFL.com that Dennis Pitta dislocated his hip today in practice. They are saying that he will miss the rest of training camp and might miss the beginning of the season, but they aren't sure.

To top that off, I just read Santonio Holmes may be out for the year.

Yeah..."The Steelers got robbed on the Holmes trade!"

I'd say Holmes plays 1/2 the season. He just doesn't know when he'll be back.

Since Holmes was traded he's continued to be a productive and very consistent WR despite his inconsistent Qb play.

Out for the year now...

Hate to see any player lose their season but this should hurt them pretty good.

As is Macklin. What sucks for him is that this was a contract year for him. He opted to play the year out in hopes of getting a better deal, ala Flacco....

Wow! Horrible, I hate to see players get injured, and especially out for the year.

The Redskins learned they would lose Adam Carriker and Keenan Robinson likely for the season on the first day of training camp. Sad

Since Holmes was traded he's continued to be a productive and very consistent WR despite his inconsistent Qb play.

Since Holmes has been traded he's been outdone by every Steelers starting WR. Holmes lack or production should of been a warning sign for Wallace.

Huh? You think Wallace cares we didn't resign him? He got what he wanted.

He doesn't care now, because he chased $$ signs. But I give it a few years and the real regret will set in.

Thats assuming he doesnt have success there.

Lets at least wait a year before making a claim like that.

He got huge money and is playing down south closer to home. The only way I could see him regretting it is if he completely falls off the map.

I tend to side with history. Plaxico Burress left for years and came back only to state he shouldn't have left. Plaxico, Woodson, Brown, Porter, Nickerson and maybe Washington off the top of my head are the only players to really do much after leaving the Steelers. There could be more, but just from the ones I remember. Wallace has a gift and by NFL standards its elite. But Wallace doesn't possess the other traits to make him a special WR. So if Tannehill isn't drop the ball in his bread basket on 60% of the passes he throws to Wallace. Wallace will probably end up like Holmes disgruntle and upset.

Pretty sure Plaxico only said that AFTER we resigned him. Alot of players say things like that. Plax had alot of success in New York and made more than he wouldve made here. Doubt he is really regretful.

And the thing youre forgetting is that alot of better players who leave us are usually old and in decline. We usually resign our better players.

Wallace is just hitting his prime, and unlike Holmes, isnt a complete idiot.

Not saying Wallace will do better in Miami, but there is really no history to look at here, because its a completely different situation. Too lump Wallace in with players who failed after they left is to completely ignore the circumstances.
