Who was on it last year? Who are likely candidates this year? Do you see potential from any of the guys on your team's practice squad? Hoping to hear some interesting facts from around the NFL concerning guys we may never hear from during the regular season.

Last Year-
Brandon Bostick - A college WR, who converted to NFL TE. Gifted athlete, still raw as heck as a TE, will have a shot at the 53 this year.

Andrew Datko - Injured shoulders dropped Datko to the 7th round, looked way better at LT last year but got smoked repeatedly at RT. Needed to gain strength, should compete for the 53.

This Year -
Kevin Dorsey - Big, Long, Fast. His story is very nice and I hope one day he makes the cut with us, sounds determined and just wants to win. Maybe makes it as the #5 WR this year but I doubt it.

To open the season, the following were on Buffalo’s practice squad: OL David Snow, WR Kamar Aiken, WR Marcus Easley, DB Isaiah Green, DL Jarron Gilbert, CB T.J. Heath, TE LaMark Brown, DT Jay Ross

October 2nd: DB Mana Silva OL Andrew Jackson signed; DB Isaiah Green and TE LaMark Brown released
October 3rd: OL Reggie Stephens signed; WR Kamar Aiken released
October 23rd: OG Keith Williams signed (OL David Snow was elevated to the 53-man roster)
November 6th: WR Chris Hogan signed (WR Marcus Easley was elevated to the 53-man roster)
November 12th: S Delano Howell signed (S Mana Silva elevated to the 53-man roster)
November 21st: LB Greg Lloyd signed; OL Reggie Stephens released
November 28th: DE Corbin Bryant signed (DB Delano Howell signed by Indianapolis)
December 5th: OL adam Grant and OL J.B. Shugarts signed (CB T.J. Heath and OL Keith Williams elevated to the 53-man roster)
December 11th: RB Zach Brown signed (DT Jay Ross elevated to the 53-man roster)
December 18th: WR Kevin Elliott and LB Brian Smith signed (WR Chris Hogan and LB Greg Lloyd elevated to the 53-man roster)
December 26th: TE Derek Buttles signed; OL J.B. Shugarts released

Players that spent time on the practice squad who are still with the team: RB Zach Brown, DE Corbin Bryant, DT Jarron Gilbert, OT Adam Grant, LB Brian Smith, WR Chris Hogan, WR Kevin Elliot, WR Marcus Easley, DT Jay Ross, OG Keith Williams, DB T.J. Heath, DB Mana Silva, OL David Snow

Players I liked the most: WR Kamar Aiken (Patriots), G/C David Snow (Bills), S Delano Howell (Colts)

Buffalo’s wide receiving corps is pretty weak. They basically have Steve Johnson, four rookies, and a whole lot of nothing. Marcus Easley, Chris Hogan, and Kevin Elliott will all be battling for a potential roster spot. Anything could happen, especially with a new coaching staff.

David Snow has a pretty decent chance at making the roster as depth due to his versatility along the interior of the offensive line.

2012 Practice squad going into season:

OC Chase Beeler-Not on team anymore, went to Rams PS

WR BJ Cunningham-Still on team. Nobody on team is really safe except Maclin and Jackson, and both could be traded so Cunningham has a chance to make the final roster

TE Chase Ford-Now on Vikings

FB Emil Igwenagu-Still on roster. We aren't carrying any fullbacks, but he has a shot to win the backup HBack spot over Clay Harbor. Or we could keep both and trade Celek. Emil is a good blocker and dump off guy with limited athleticism.

WR Marvin McNutt-Was absolutely terrible to my surprise. Cut, now a Dolphin

LB Ryan Rau-Very limited athlete, cut. Now a Panther

OC/OG Matt Reynolds-On Chiefs

DE Frank Trotter-Out of league I believe

Players that finished the season on the Colts practice squad
WR Kris Adams - not resigned, (Giants)
CB Marshay Green - might not make final 53, could spend time on practice squad again
QB Chandler Harnish - on the bubble as the third QB
TE Dominique Jones - needs to beat out Weslye Saunders and rookie Justice Cunningham for third TE spot
LB Shawn Loiseau - not resigned
RB Davin Meggett (son of Dave Meggett) - on the bubble, additions of Ahmad Bradshaw and Kerwynn Williams make it impossible for him to make the 53
LB Monte Simmons - on the bubble, could compete with Justin Hickman for the depth at OLB
OT Lee Ziemba - on the bubble, competing with Bradley Sowell and Emmett Cleary for 4th OT on depth chart behind Castonzo, Cherilus and Linkenbach

Antonio Allen spent a good portion of 2012 on the practice squad for the Jets. He now has a good chance at starting at safety this season. It is expected to be a TC battle between Allen and Josh Bush for the job. At the very least, Allen should get plenty of playing time.

Jordan White and Ricky Sapp also spent time on the practice squad. Both can absolutely create roles for themselves on the team with strong performance in the preseason.

A few of the guys on the Ravens' practice squad made it onto the field last season.

Josh Bynes stepped in and did well, even starting a couple of games. Omar Brown played against the Giants, and sacked Eli. Anthony Allen started off on the PS before being elevated to the full roster, and did very well on Special Teams, blocking for Jacoby Jones. I think both Nigel Levine and Adrian Hamilton got onto the field as well. As did Bryan Hall, who is going from D-line to MLB this summer.

The Ravens seem to have used the PS to stash project O-linemen over the last couple of years. Jack Cornell, David Mims, possibly Rogers Gaines after this training camp. But those guys have little chance of starting any time soon.

This year, it's hard to say. I think Cornell and Mims will still be there. Maybe Moe Lee as well, a UDFA CB that has had good reviews in mini-camp and OTAs. Matt Furstenburg is a toss up between 3rd TE or PS, I think.
