To be fair, who isn't gonna be pissed about their keys getting thrown in the bushes?

I know right? My first instinct is to automatically strike at the head of my supposed friend multiple times.

I mean, Id give him a chance to go find my keys first.

A lot of "He's on my team, so it's not that bad" even though if someone did this to you, you'd sure as heck press charges.

This is pretty bad. I expect a suspension.

Literally every 9ers fan in this thread has said that if the story is true he should be suspended...

You've just been conditioned this season to come to expect the opposite though.

Thats rather soft defensive reasoning. Who the hell gets into fist fights with their friends when they're drunk?? Is that common??

Happens all the time around the world dude Laughing Friends fight each other especially drunk, and if they're really good friends then they're cool afterwards. Since the cops were called, things probably aren't cool anymore.

Sounds like nothing much will happen from this unless the state makes it an issue.

Moffitt got like a public urination for peeing in/at a mall, then a trespass for returning to said area.

So, yes, like Brooks also fuelled by beer most likely.

Pete Carroll should hold a press conference about keeping your players out of legal trouble. Laughing

whats up with people? Being drunk has never made me more aggressive. I just chill.

At least we drafted Tank Carridine/Lemonouir for pass rushing depth when Brooks gets suspended

Dont care if the charges were dropped, he deserves to be suspended as an example.

9ers should definitely give him some type of internal punishment. That's not how you treat a teammate or friend. The threatening to get the gun is just a whole nother level.

If Brooks did that to me, we might still be teammates, but we sure as heck are no longer friends.

I jsut honestly feel bad for Lamar Divens in this case. Oh well, drunk people will act stupid and do stupid things, and when you combine alcohol with severe meathead syndrome, you get stuff like this.

I wonder how this happened?

Long story short, Divens thought Brooks was too drunk to drive and refused to give him his keys and this led him to getting a beat down. Divens was being a great teammate and friend and he gets repaid like this? Smh...................

Not true. The report says that Divens had already driven Brooks home. Brooks asked Divens for his keys and Divens pretended to throw them in the bushes before giving them back. That is when Brooks assaulted him. Divens contacted the police and then three days later asked for the charges to be dropped.

Brooks is an idiot for two reasons: 1) He hit him with a bottle and 2) He threatened to get a gun. Other than that, friends get in fights when they are drunk. It happens to everyone. If Brooks didn't use a weapon and threaten to use even more severe violence, then I doubt Divens would have even contacted police.

No...not everyone assaults friends while drunk.
