If we're looking at most irreplaceable for 2013 - like which loss would hurt THIS team the most, this is how my list would shape out:

1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Clay Matthews
3. B.J. Raji
4. Morgan Burnett
5. Bryan Bulaga
6. JerMichael Finley

These top 6 do not have suitable replacements and the drop-off in talent behind them is enormous.

7. Randall Cobb
8. Josh Sitton
9. Jordy Nelson

These next 3 are at somewhat deeper positions, but it would still be very hard to replace what they offer.

10. Sam Shields
11. TJ Lang
12. Mike Neal
13. Nick Perry
14. Casey Hayward

These 5 are very valuable players so their loss would hurt significantly despite playing at deeper positions.

15. AJ Hawk
16. James Jones
17. Ryan Pickett
18. Brad Jones
19. EDS
20. Datone Jones
21. Eddie Lacy

These 7 I expect to see significant snaps with a drop-off at talent behind them as well, however they are not premium players (yet) like those above them.

Honorable mentions: Jerron McMillian, Tramon Williams, Jonathan Franklin, John Kuhn, Tim Masthay

I included Lacy and not Franklin above because I feel Lacy offers a different package that we don't have on our team otherwise.

Finley's easily replaceable and I really wish the Pack would move on. His cost is astronomical, his seasons average, constantly injured and we won without the guy. Why's he getting that money? Might as well dabble in FA for defensive help.

Looking at this list as it gets compiled I feel less optimistic about the future. If this team is going to do anything more defensive players NEED to be ranked higher.

Hey, I love Wrs as much as the next guy, but recent history has been real spotty for teams where that's a huge strength. Yeah, I'm excited for Cobb and Jordy but the team would be better off with a RB or O-lineman rated higher.

But when we're down to praising Finley again? Oh man, I can feel the butterflies in my stomach.
